Hey GF, Thanks. And thanks to your woman especially! What an awesome flick. Just watched it start to finish. Everyone should check this one out. Probably the only two hour long movie that I've ever watched and wished it was longer. A real eye-opener. Very informative. +Rep up.:peace::bigjoint:

People post that link all the time on here, in fact I posted it twice today in two other threads.

But it is the best and worth posting again if someone hasn't seen it. The most truthful and detailed documentary to date.

the thing about watching a movie like that is it makes you realize just how little progress is being made towards legalizing weed. its like i keep waiting for that watershed event that will lead to widespread legalization in states and localtities, then on the federal level. it seemed like that was just around the corner 15 years ago, but we've hardly moved since then.

yea but hey obama is in office now, the first day in and quantanimo bay has been closed, id say thats a big step towards change. just the fact that he is following through with reforms and social justice. he wants to abolish the war on drugs and free anyone convicted of nonviolent drug offencess untill it is thaught through reasonably and reformed itself. i think change is closer than people think. 13 states already support medical marijuana, more are on the way.

It seems like there's a chance, you're right, but he has completely ignored our cries for decrim and legalization in the change.org and change.gov voting things even though we got first place and many many more votes on others than didn't make it in the top 10.

We didn't get one word... Not one from the obama administration other than a quote from months ago that said "Obama doesn't support legalization" or something to that effect.

(oh and btw I'm sorry for being an ass a while back... I have my own problems and it was just a bad time and I got too impatient too easily.)

My formal apology

but yes, it seems imposable because there are so many monopolys out there that would compleatly go bankrupt because when weed is legalized, hemp comes with it, and every single item made from hemp would far surpass the products made of other materials in both quality, durability and health wise. like the video said, if we used hemp as bio fule, it would take up as much carbon as would be released burning the fule, greenhouse problems would disapear, the cycle would be ideal, it would be in ballance with nature, the way it should be, but wont be because, yes, once again, people just looovvveeee money, as much as they can get! doesnt matter if they can spend it, they have it and thats what matters to them...

and yea obama doesnt want it legalized or decriminalized, but he believes that medical use should be alowed as long as a doctor prescribes. and that in itself is kindof a big step toward decriminalization. it takes a long time to change shit like this, especialy with everything the government has jammed down everyones throtes since the 70s. let alone all the lies we have been told since the 30s. it takes a while to reverse this hipnosis we call the american dream.

and it is only his first week still, im sure theres a million other things he has to address besides that, but it did get first so im sure its not going to go unnoticed, just give it time.

ya thats true, progress on the fed level has been nil for 8 years. and if the fed won't budge, it makes things very difficult for the states. but obama has a lot on his plate, its gonna be a while b4 he can work on this...i am more hopeful now tho

Yea I totally agree, but I think there's so much on his plate and it will take so many more years to turn things around... and he has to ensure re-election that...

Don't hold your breath.

There are some folks saying now that this economy problem may take until 2015 to be completely turned around, and we may well see full Great Depression era failure in every area.

More layoffs means more forclosures which means more more banks tanking which means more homeless broke people which means less spending which means more layoffs which means more floreclosures which means more banks tanking which means more homeless broke people...And on and on, a neverending cycle until a complete bottom out is reached whatever that is.

That was well worth watching though I'm not really optimistic about cannabis ever being legalized. the facts came as no big surprise to me, those are things i've been ranting about for years to anyone who would listen. Peace:)
