I was talking to a guy who likes to take 10-15MG at once, I thought that was a ridiculous amount, but who am I to say really. The only person I know who has a prescription for it is dosed at .5MG/day. A while back I was having panic attacks cause of a very fucked up situation I was in, and .5MG/DAY of Xanax really did help me. It didn't get me high or anything, but it did help. Unlike other meds of its kind, it doesn't take weeks for it to start working. I was taking .5MG/day for two weeks($15 worth on the street).
What really sucks is that I know for a fact Xanax DOES help for people who really need them. This type of reasoning by the doctors is the same reason that I cannot buy any fucking cold medicine OTC(fucking meth addicts). I have to get a prescription for it. I'm sick of giving up my freedom and rights, I don't care if someone else is so stupid that they abuse drugs that will kill them. Sure it is tragic, but we need more personal accountability instead of more control over availability.
