anything on the sativa side of things, like say a haze, or kali mist, or a land race, is the happy, up, motivational weed, often paranoid as well comes with a heavy sativa.

indicas are pretty much the opposite end of the spectrum, they are good for pain, are more couch lock, don't move all day type of smoke.. some nice heavy indicas are umm, let's see, afghani, deep chunk, bubba kush, and many many others..
something new on the scene are high cbd strains, which are supposed to work great for pain, and not get the user as high as a strain with a higher thc and lower cbd strain would do.. a few breeders are working with cbd strains atm, bodhi is giving high cbd seeds away with a purchase of his other strains i have recently read some where.. there's also the cbd crew, and strains like harlequen(Sp?), and cannatonic and ac/dc and a few others as well..

I make a hash oil (ISO) and make e-cig/vape juice from it. I find it is a much less intense high than smoking. Vaping in general to me is more subdued so it may be an alternative for you.

one thing is that you do get used to the high THC. Before I started growing, I used cheap weed. Too expensive to buy the good stuff and it was too strong for me. Nowi grow the good stuff and it doesn't hit me any harder than the mexi weed used to.

Just sample as many strains as you can (preferably popular strains) until you find a strain you enjoy. Its hard for someone else to tell you what you need because each person feels teh effects differently based upon tolerance

Hey racer...I am looking to introduce some strains into my grow that are solely dedicated for medicinal value, not really recreational. From your personal opinion would you recommend a few(or anyone else willing to chime in). My girl suffers from severe anxiety and the docs has her chewing down xanax. She does not smoke but said she would be willing to experiment with the medicinal side of cannabis if I were to introduce a strain into my tent...

shazmo-i have found that if you make edibles out of your trim(including stems and fan leaves), you get a nice relaxing buzz. not couch lock nor uppidy. you will need her to experiment with how much is enough. my wife tried one 2x2 inch square of brownie and was too high for her. i have found a 1"x2" brownie chillaxes me for about 6 hours. i cook my trim in a slow cooker with water and a quarter to a half pound of coconut oil for 6-12 hours. then i use it like butter in my brownie recipe. the trim i used was from assorted strains(greenhouse seeds thai, silver l.a., master kush, stacked kush and og kush).

my uncle is a retired Vietnam vet and told me hes been smoking since 16yrs old until about 50yrs old. I think its been about 10 year or so. he knows I grow medically and also grow a CBD strain. he always says how good the weed was back then. until I brought over a sample of my prized strain (kyle kushman strawberry cream). he about shit his pants when I opened the jar and handed him a 5g nugget. we didn't smoke any as his wife might not have approved. lol we are trying to talk to his wife about the benefits of CBd vs takin harmful pain killers. im hoping we can sway her thinking about pot being a bad drug, but instead a healing medicine, or at least its better than opiates.
