Pure Afghan Amsterdam Seeds
Started May. Put outside at 18" early August.
Showed sex around the 20th of august.
This is now October 7th.

As an indica....this just seems incredibly slow to me. She is very, very healthy as you can see. Unfortunately we have had a lot of cooler night temps and rain over the past week. Thankfully we have about another week of sun and much warmer temps.
Will she speed up as a results? Do they go faster at the end of the flowering cycle?

You can see that she is a pretty happy girl. No problems with mold, mites or otherwise.

she looks awful "leafy", have you been feeding her much?
Only with an ultra bloom product and only twice so far. She was planted in the miracle grow organic mix. We had so much rain a week ago that she still has not dried out.

As I said, I'm a newbie and am darn lucky I have gotten her this far. No idea what I should be doing or when. I've be reading and reading and there are so many different opinions out there. Some say they use nothing others use a variety of products. I find it very confusion.

Since they are portable, you could bring them inside at night and put them in a dark closet. A few days of 14 hours of darkness at a time should help kick in the flowering. Some folks even go for 36 hours of complete darkness all at once. But if you are concerned about running out of bud time, giving them some solid complete darkness for AT LEAST 12 hours a night.

Right now, daylight hours are down to 11 1/2. I'm hoping that will help. I figure I have a few weeks left outside before it gets way too tricky.

She should have gone outside way earlier imo...
Yeah...live and learn. Next year I will be starting in March getting her ready for outside. Should be much better. I just thought this year the longer veg inside would make a difference. Didn't realize that mother nature was much better at it....lol

your thinking backwards , flowering will start at the same time mother nature is on schedule the days are just now getting short enough to tell the plant to switch on the flower hormones , if you want less veg time start later

Yes, you are right. 12/12 will always be the same no matter what. I guess i was just expecting things to go according to plan, my plan that is. When I think about the time she presented herself as female, then given a couple of weeks, she is probably on target to finish the end of October/first week November. Thats what I get for being too anxious. Thank you again. :-)

She's running 2 months behind cause of the time you brought her out of veg, however, if her roots in that planter are getting too cool at night, it will hold her back some what on her over all mass. Might not win at the State Fair, but she's a player.

Thanks Stranger.....as long as she plays well enough to help me with pain, I'm good.
Two months behind? Holy crap. The sun tables shows us going to 12/12 at the beginning of September. Is she only about 2 weeks into flower? If so, then she is going to have to come in at some point....or we make a habit of moving her in and out.

Take a look at my Indica post. The pics are taken in order of the date. She looks alot like yours. This might give you some idea of progression in flowering.

Thank you very much. Those pictures helped me a lot. Most other plants don't look quite like she does and she has a lot of tightly packed buds around the big main cola. It almost looks like its gonna be about a foot and a half when ready...lol. I'm guessing a good month to go yet.

Just put her in a small greenhouse. We're supposed to get rain on and off over the next week. In looking at her yesterday, she looks very much like the picture dated September 28th, so maybe if I'm lucky, she may be ready in two weeks or less.
