To germinate, you can soak the seeds in a cup of water over night, then "sandwich" them in damp paper towel, put them in a bowl and put the bowl away on a shelf. Check them daily and moisten the paper towels when necessary. They usually sprout in 1-5 days.

will this ensure them to be female?

Put you paper towels into a zip lock bag or tupperware. This way if you space out and forget about them (I have a few times) they won't dry out.

I do it this way, I place my paper damp paper towel into a zip lock baggie,
with the seeds sandwiched inside, start to zip it, than right before it closes, I blow it up. Than rather than the moisture evaporating, it is like (oh my god, I am gonna kill this spelling) a terrarium, and re-circulates the moisture. Usually ready in 2 days, oh yeah, keep it dark and warm too.
Peace

there are lots of ways.

1. Put seeds between 2 wet paper towel and put them between plates and leave them.
2. Put seeds between damp paper towels and put the paper towels in a zip lock bag and put them in a dark place. (I used this method, I also had them on top of my CRT monitor to keep them warm, i dunno if this helps at all but it did work).
3. Fill up a cup with water and just drop seeds in them and put the cup in a dark place.
4. Put the seed in a jiffy pot or cube and add water. (Also tried this method, works great. Had a sprout after 3 days.)
