Hey there RIU,

So I've tried this 2 times now and I ended up killing my ladies both times. But I'm back and trying it again and I think this may be the one!

Tomorrow will be the end of week 4, but I'll post some pics I've been taking along the way to get the thread up to speed.

I flipped the 4 ladies on 9/4/15

The 2 glues in the front were approximately 24" when flipped and the rom d's were 18-20"

Its amazing how frosty they allready are. I need better genetics :( lol.

I bet the fans even get all fuzzy.
Ya good genetics definitely help. I was lucky enough to get both strains from my good friend and mentor TheWhiteLotus. He's part of the "glue crew" over on icmag and got his gg#4 cut from Josey Whales himself. The Romulan Diesel is from some seeds he got from a medical cup in SF back in the early 2000's. Both are great strains. The glue just shits out trichomes everywhere, all the sugar leaves and the buds will be covered and there will be some on the fans. The Rom doesn't produce as many trichomes compared to the glue, but it still does well. Both are elite smoke, some of the best I've ever had (when grown by my buddy, we'll see how mine turn out! :bigjoint:)

In case anybody is wondering, I'm running tap water with Dyna-Gro Bloom, Mag Pro, Pro-tekt, and Botanicare Aquashield. Been feeding at 1.0-1.1 EC twice a night. Temps are between 68-72 with lights on and 62-68 lights off. It's getting colder here lately so I put in a space heater to bring the room temp up a bit during lights on. Gonna keep lights off in the mid to high 60's and hopefully coax the purple out of the roms (which usually only happens for this strain with cold night temps.)

Any coco growers have advice on a final flush before harvest? I'm planning to harvest around 64 days and I'd like to "autumn out" for maybe a week or two before harvest.

Today (10/9/15) marks the last day of week 5. I'm going to defoliate the roms a bit and possibly trim off some of the lower glue branches (the ones who didn't make it to the screen and aren't getting direct light) this Sunday (day 38 of 64), although I'm undecided...I may just let them do their thing and toss all the larf/popcorn into the bubble hash pile.:weed:

I'm really looking forward to seeing how they bulk up in the next 5 weeks...maybe some of the 100+ lurkers who've viewed but not posted will enjoy these coming weeks as well!

Don't trim your lowers. It's too far at this point. Let them do their thing.

Instead, when it's harvest time, chop your tops only and let the bottoms go for another week.
I've heard of the two part harvest but always been skeptical on the actual results from it. Have you seen sizable increases in the lowers? I'm gonna keep them and let them do their thing regardless but I'm just debating on whether to just harvest everything and toss the larf into the bubble hash pile or let them go an extra week.

Once the lights come on today, it will be day 61 so we are in the home stretch. Planning to start choping this Friday, November 5.

The cold night temps have started to induce some purple from the roms. I'm excited to start my harvest, let the fun begin!! Next update will be when I start harvesting.

Amazing!! What is your final plant height?
Thanks zbo! I'd guess about 4ft from the base of the smart pots to the top of the highest bud for the glue and a little less for the roms. Some tops have leaned over due to weight tho. :weed:

What mistakes did you make in your other grows that you didn't in this one?
The first time I tried Rdwc and being a novice, I didn't set it up to have easy access to drain and ended up getting root rot in week 4. The second time I was using a 2x4x5 tent and I angled the light for some unknown reason and sent all the heat out of my air cooled hood into the plants and cooked them in week 4. This time I used a 4x4x7 tent and I just kept things simple, didn't mess with anything unnecessarily and just let them do their thing.
