Thinking of starting new grow, but temps are high.

Hi y'all..

My grow room is in my garage. It's a 10'x4'x9' plywood box with COB lighting, exhaust fan and passive intake. I live in the south. This grow will be photoperiod. I usually wait until 2nd week of august. I use the 6 hours off when temps are highest. I've been able to avoid hi-temp issues this way.

This year I'm thinking of starting in mid-July. I'll probably sprout the seeds then. Temps in the grow room will average 90-95 while lights are on. By the time I flip to 12/12 it will be September and temps won't be an issue then.

Just wondering if anyone has any tips or knowledge regarding hi-temps during veg. The beans are Ethos Mandarin Cookies.

Thanks in advance bongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmilie

Can you bring cooler air in? Say a side of the building that doesn’t get hit by sun and has some shade?

throw some insulation on the outside of your build out and put window a/c on it is another option

I had been thinking about adding insulation to my garage and moving the tent from the side it was facing to a cooler area but that didn’t actually help too much. It did Stay cooler for longer in the morning, but it also stayed hot longer in the evening.
I'm back to The computer room. This time I stalked Amazon looking for deals on a portable AC or a window AC. I got one being delivered Tuesday.

I did the portable AC. Everyone says they’re crap blah blah get a window shaker blah blah blah.

yeah; no, they’re all right they’re crap. I’m using a $400 portable A/C. I’m still in the testing phase but im pretty sure the first thing I will modify if it can’t keep up with the heat is downgrading to a cheaper window banger.

mine was $400ish but I got it for $310. So I was happy enough. I finally have a dehumidifier coming too finally.

Window shakers are def better but lot of HOA's don't allow them. Portables not terrible once you insulate the exhaust hose. At a minimum wrap the exhaust hose with Gorilla Tape, that'll save you from a few btu's of bleeding exhaust heat.

I’m about to downsize my ac, I might’ve needed 15000btu when I tried run a 4000w room with stand-alone hydro buckets my second grow(that went about as well as you think:dunce: ) but with 1/4 of that in led it’s wasted electric. Mf ain’t even on right now cause the fuse bulb blew and my tents sitting at 89, new fuse in tomorrow(I’m glad they still make em) and I pick up the smaller ac(freebie, 8000btu) this weekend.

90-95 won’t kill em, but they’re not gonna like it lol. Makes me glad to be divorced, and single. Can’t nobody tell me not to make the living room my bedroom so I can dedicate the master bedroom to growing and the spare bedroom to processing.
I also have a veg tent in the kitchen bongsmilie :weed: I fuckin love weed so much
