Thinking of making a jump to hydro

So if I’m using ro water how do I go about mixing my nutrients? Do I add cal mag into every watering before adding my base nutrients? I’m using the emerald harvest line up. Because on my feeding chart it tells me not to mix cal mag is any other nutrients. Do I add cal mag during veg and sturdy stalk during flower?

I've done a lot of DWC grows in the past using RO water and would add some CalMag at the end of mixing up the nutes. I used very little of it as there is Ca and Mg in the nutes themselves or should be. I used AN 3-part for almost all those grows.

When I used silica, AN's Rhino Skin, I would add it directly drop-wise to the tub(s). I rarely if ever changed nutes so wasn't mixing anything before-hand once the initial tub was prepared for clones.

You can mix potassium silicate with other nutrients if you do it properly.

First dilute it with RO water
Secondly lower pH by adding other ferts or acid

If you do it differently you synthesize sand. Expensive sand that is.
