what people don't understand about the aquarium bulbs is that you get a way better PAR vs. PUR ratio. also, so much is wasted with MH and HPS (depending on the brand of bulb) in the yellow and green spectrum. With these bulbs you can hit your plants with 100% of everything they need.

so what color is aquarium bulbs. I mean like 6500k. are they 7500k or higher? what should I use?

Color temp can be a bit misleading when talking about specialty T5 bulbs. Bluer means hotter, redder means cooler, but assigning a color temp to a bulb with lots of red and blue but little green or yellow can be troublesome. The "actinic" or blue bulbs will have a high color temp, like 12000 and up. But the best all-round T5s of the "purple" sort can't really be assigned a color temp. Jmo. cn
