Im heavily contemplating moving from my present residence outside of houston texas to california. somewhere close to the beach. i just wanted to get a general take on where a nice spot to start looking would be ? law enforcement agencies in texas are insane. Policies and the way laws are enforced and regulated here dont suit my taste, to say the least. Ill never stop smoking marijuana, and recently was ALMOST convicted of a p.o.m .... i had. A. GRAM. like. one single gram. and was tossed around like a piece of steak about to be thrown to the wolves. actually was booked in for it but beat the case on an illegal search and seizure. regardless, ive absolutely had enough. can i get some thoughts ?

Never been to Cali so I can't advise on where too look. I wanted too say it is really kewl you beat the rap. I would never advise anyone to uproot their lives for the sake of smoking cannabis. But, in your case the badges that lost out with you may be gunnin' for you now. I assume you have no real ties there in TX. So, what the heck go for it! i would love to do the same but I am a divorced daddy and cannot be that far from my daughter. Best of luck to you! Oh and BTW sorry about the world series.

Yeah im looking into the same thing and I dont really know where to start. When I moved here 5 years ago I closed my eyes and pointed at a map of florida 3 times. Researched and picked one. I bought a bus ticket and left. I had about 5 grand. Through that experience and the tough times ive gone through I realized I was lucky to have ever made it work.

Ive been looking around the santa ana area. Have you anything in mind for what you want from a new area yogi?

i was looking around that area is well. i found some decent/comparatively cheap places to live around santa ana/long beach/huntington beach.

pujols didnt do a god damn thing in the world series. he had one game with 3 homers and then went 0-15 the rest of the way. Texas was 1 out away. 2 times. that series just got away from them. horrible.

Its a bitch to get a good job.Experience and knowing somebody to get you in is always a big plus. But I don't really know about restaurant jobs.

Hey guys roomates both growin twice the harvest, 1/2 the price. Just sayin.
im down like four flats. and i could get a job in a few fields, i have my national real estate license. ive been an account manager(sales rep) for a huge multi-family flooring provider, my family has owned flooring stores so i know that industry better than anybody you probably know, and worst comes to worst i waited tables at a 5 star restaurant all through college. my dad wants me to follow in his footsteps and become an attorney but ....

Yeah i do the restaurant/ bartending thing for now and fix motorcycles on the side. Id like to open a shop at some point. I figure it shoudlnt be to bad finding work hospitality/sales/motorcycle shop or my fallback job..being a carny hahaha. Did it for 3 years. Disneyland is relatively close so thats an option.

I def think a roommate is the way to go with a move that big and housing, while reasonable is sooo expensive to live alone. Im doing it now and its tough. Collective gardening sounds awesome sharing supplies/ knowledge/power bill not to mention just being able to sit and talk about it with a fellow smoker...thats why were all on RIU anyway right.

By my birthday in the beginning of aug i want to be moved, and employed sittin on a beach in Cali.
