Think I'm Done, Please confirm?

Majority of it are brown, with maybe 1-4 little white hairs still. It's all shrivelling inwards towards the bud. As I do not have a 30x microscope or 60-100x, I cannot check the trichomes.
May RIU help me confirm whether it is ready ?

Probably close enough to done for you to pull her. HOw many weeks has she flowered? I've found that "done" is a very relative term depending on how you want the high to be. I've got a Sweet deep Grapefruit i'm gonna chop a week or so early.

She is an autoflower, and today is day 86 from seed.

I think she's looking pretty ripe. Do you have a macro feature on your camera? Often it will have a little flower symbol for that mode. Get a clear shot and use paint software or something to zoom in on the trichs and even crop your pic. At least it gives you a better idea where your at if you're unsure.

Unfortunately, my camera DOES have the mode specifically for taking pictures of flowers. However, When I try to zoom in, the quality just becomes blurred. So I can never get a clear shot of the trichomes.

macro mode does not work well with zooming. its designed to allow you to focus the camera with the lens much closer to the object than it normally would be, a high quality macro lens will let you get within an inch or 2. on point and shoots the distance can vary

not sure if radioshack delivers to where you are but they have a cheap 60x-100x that works pretty well. you just have to press it flat agaisnt a peice of bud.

Your plant looks within the harvest window to me, but its hard to tell. 86 days on an auto should be plenty so i would say shes ready.

Like jd said, you don't need to actually zoom in. Just get the camera close and then hold the button about halfway and the camera will auto-focus. When you are ready push the button all the way to snap the pic. Sometimes you might not want the flash, you can turn it off by finding the symbol that looks like a lightning bolt usually.

You are close enough to chop from pic. I like quite a lot of amber trichomes and I am guessing you have few of those, but you might like it better this way. I got my last 40x loupe with LED off ebay for 4 or 5 dollars shipped. Takes all the guess work out of it.

Thanks for all the input. I will be choppin it down in a few hours when I'm not so busy so I can take my time trimming. I did order a 60-100x microscope off of amazon a few days ago, too bad its not gonna make it on time for this harvest. Oh well...

I've been reading a lot of 24-48 hours of darkness before harvest. I'm not too sure whether I should chop now, or give it that darkness period?

I think i'm going to listen to you bud. I checked out the lower buds, and they just aren't as ready yet. I am planning on 2 days more of light, than 24 hours of darkness before harvest.

i think you should at least get a big hand-held magnifying glass or somethin'
maybe pick up some over-all tones of color of the clusters of trichs

'when you think its ready give it a week then chop', its kind of like a rule of thumb.
