People keep posting these "MY GIGANTIC TREES GOT STOLEN then something else happens but I have no proof" threads. Theyre mostly noobs and theyre obviously just looking for attention, thats why they throw in the stolen part so its believable. theres another thread on here somewhere about a kid who said they stole his 6 foot plants and he found the guy who stole it, went in the dudes house, carried him out, then beat his ass... and guess what, no pics. Just like this girl, minus the beatdown its the exact same scenario

You haven't had anything you really valued ripped from you, have you. It aint real easy to "get over it" the first time it happens, and only gets worse. Personally I work hard to get what I have. I have been the victim of a home burglary, a car theft, and a plant-napper (that's too nice a word for it) among other things.
I will NOT allow some lazy prick to just walk up and TAKE my shit, and if some how they do get my shit, god forbid I should find out who they are. Yeah, I'd say not so much bent on HATRED, as sending a message that it's just NOT OK to steal here. And if you want to be left alone, that message has got to be LOUD AND CLEAR. Criminals prey on the weak. If one doesn't want to use force, or at least be willing to use force if necessary to protect their own, god help 'em. I abhor violence, but have no prob using it when necessary. Sometimes it's the only thing some people understand.
When the criminal element begins to fear our citizens more than than they fear police or jail, THAT is being tough on crime. Dobbiegirl is well within her rights to be mad, whether the plants were 16' or 16" they were hers, and I'm sure that she spent considerable time and money on them. If you just want to turn the other cheek and shrug something like that off, that's your prerogative. But if more people were righteously pissed enough to actually PROTECT their shit, Thievery, burglary, and robbery would dramatically drop. When we gave up our guns and our rights to defend our property, and left those things up to a "police" force, crime became easy and safe!!! Thieves steal because they generally CAN get away with it. Cops are too busy busting dope growers and smokers to bother with theft. Besides, busting potheads easier and safer than busting a violent offender.
If turning a blind eye is working for you, God bless ya. I don't ask you to agree with my method of dealing with rodents (Sorry rats!), but you DO NEED to respect my right to do so. True, there are those who lie for attention. I pity them for their low self-esteem. Internet "liars" generally will go away on their own, and usually the most harm they do is give out bad advise. If someone lies about something in a forum, who gets hurt? Eventually THEY do. But it wont affect me or mine in any way other than give me some entertainment for a bit. It really serves no useful purpose to call some one out like that without proof. I believe that you really do what you post about, despite the lack of proof that you actually do. (Pics can be had and posted about anywhere) Now if you post about your 16' giants in one thread, and post pic's of 3' plants in another, hell it's still just embellishment, I'll just laugh because it doesn't really affect anyone but the liar in a tangible way.
In short, who gives a fuck HOW BIG they were. They were hers, and now they aren't. If she's full of shit, it's her reputation and standing here that's at stake, not ours.

I'm with lastpirate on this. First, it really doesn't matter the size of the plants. We've got a redwood that, if you asked me, would be about 10' tall. But, you ask my son or husband (son's 6' tall, hubby's about 5'10") and they'll tell you she's 12', EASY. Maybe it's all in your perspective. But, y'all can't say it's impossible and that you have to have all these pre-conditions. How would you explain what BLT manages to grow? Search for his threads, he's got some true monsters.
Also, Dobbiegirl just doesn't strike me as the "bullshit to get attention" type, just from the little I've read and all. Just sayin'.
