These things are BUSHY!! First time...how am I doing?

I have looked at tons of pictures and I think Im doing pretty well. Please drop knowledge or give advice if you think I need help. These were mystery seeds from Nirvana so I dont know what they are but Im thinking something Indica dominant. I transplanted them into 16in 7 gallon containers. They didnt look happy in the 3 gallons after about 4 1/2 weeks. Iam doing a test grow with these before I even attempt the fairly expensive White Widow seeds I purchased.
Soil is Fox Farm Ocean Forest mixed with Light Warrior. I have gone very light on the nutes. I have used fish emulsion once, some CaliMagic once, Big Bloom and Grow Big twice, and I tested one plant with a very tiny bit of hydrogen peroxide once. Other than that, just water adjusted to a bit under 7.0. I used 220 watts of LED light only during vegging and have now added T5 flourescents at 240 watts for flowering. I just flipped to 12/12 three days ago. The first pics are at about 4 weeks, the second pics are today at about 6 weeks. What do you guys think? I need some help on what to prune. Can you give some guidance. I can post some different pics if it woukd help. Or if you can direct me to a good post on pruning that woukd be great too!!

I think it looks great for a first run. The main problem nubes have is over fertilizing and over watering. I say don't add nutes unless the plant is needing it. Let that plant tell you what it wants and needs. Good luck!

DOUBLE IN SIZE....OH CRAP! I was expecting growth but not that much. I really didn't think these things would get as big as they did during vegging. I have vertical space but width not so much. I already noticed some of the bigger sun leaves are getting dangerously close to the Mylar and I'm afraid they are going to get burned. How concerned should I be about that? I know it's not good but will it be bad enough to affect the entire plants health/growth?

They will be fine near the mylar, they won't get much bushier. When it goes into flower it will stretch vertically. Strains usually double to triple in height during stretch.

I was really frugal with the nutes and the water. I resisted and it was hard but I think I got it down. What you really should do goes against what seems like a good idea. More is NOT necessarily better. Thanks for the compliment. Next time I'm doing a White Widow grow! I wanted to make any possible mistakes with these. I wasn't expecting much and I'm hoping to surprise myself!!

plants look great. most of my plants take 10-12 weeks from first pistil sighting to harvest. first pistil will appear 1 week into 12/12.

i wouldnt prune anything, you have a lot of light in there.

Must have a lot of sativa in the strains you grow.
I try to mix it up, some faster indica dominants and some slower sativa dominants.

my fastest plant was master kush, which was done 9 weeks from pistil, but i left it to 10 because i like strong smoke :)

it upsets me when people pull the buds when theyre not done. they look very skinny and not proper. you really gotta wait it out. you should be clear trich scouting, not amber scouting. i like to let as many of the clears turn as possible.

so far ive grown

acid/diesel. takes long, 11-12 weeks from pistil.

master kush. fast strain. 10 weeks from pistil.

thc bomb. supposed to be fast, but i had some issues with it, so it went 12 weeks from pistil.

blackout kush. probably going to chop tomorrow, 10 weeks from pistil.

cannabis really needs 10-12 weeks from pistil for max potency, even pure hindu kush.
