Sorta looks like a male from the photos but for a definitive answer I'd need to see for myself. Otherwise try to zoom in on just that pre-flower, use the macro function if available and try to get the clearest picture you can. Checking it out with a magnifying glass might help also. You're looking for two little hairs protruding from the preflower and I don't see them. A female preflower should be more cone shaped also and from what I can make out of one photo in particular it doesn't look to be.
BTW you don't need to kill a suspected male right away for fear of pollen. Firstly the pollen actually takes some time to develop and for the sac(s) to open up. Secondly if you have no plants actually in bloom in the vicinity then there's nothing to pollinate.
