alright... like most others in this part of the forum, this is my first time attempting to grow. attached is a pic of my grow box and a couple sort of close ups of one of my sprouts, i have six total as u can see... but they are all almost about the same height and as far as appearance, pretty similar, i was really just wondering if my design for the box and setup is ok for the first couple weeks of growing... yes that is a pice of shit 75 watt fluro tube, it was 9 bucks, im on a budget... and the box is lined with foil, foggy side out, i have a mix of vermaculate, sphagnum moss and perlite for the 'soil' judging by the pictures, do my babies look healthy, today will be day five since germination and planting, germinated the seeds in my kitchen cupboard in a cup of water... they are seeds from a zip of some really nice kind bud, but anyways any help, advice, critique, whatever, would be good, thanks everyone.. and sorry for uploading the pics this way im pretty sure theres a better way but...

It is very stretchy. Add more lights and when you transplant bury some of that stalk. Put some holes in that cup too so the plant has some drainage.

Hi Firebeats, your plants are looking fine for five days old. I think you would be better off with some CFL's instead of that purple tube light. I had that same light and made the switch to CFL's and couldn't be happier I did. Good luck

Your plants are too stretched. put that light right up on the plant.
If you dont get the proper equiptment you will not be successful.

i plan on going shopping for a better light... the cups have drainage holes... and i just added a little fan to the top of the box pointing downward into the box towards the back wall, i tried to keep the fan from blowing directly on the plants... and so the light should be closer to the plants than is??... the light is bout three inches from the top of the cups, and the sprouts are clearing the rims of the cups..

ok ill raise the cups.. i guess since it is in fact a shitty fluro light the plants wouldnt burn.. the light gives off minimal heat, and since i planted them its been on 24/7...... thanks, and how necessary is the fan at this point?
