Hmmm....I'd try to get rid of it, because you're just asking for more fungus/mold problems with the plants once they sprout. Try carefully scooping the moldy dirt out and replace with some fresh stuff. You don't need to cover them, unless you feel you must. I used to keep mine in my growroom in 16 ounce styrofoam cups, placed inside a cardboard box with the top open for ventilation. Did you germinate them first? You'll have a much higher success rate if you do, and you won't have to keep them covered. Also, they don't need any light until they poke up out of the soil and open their first set of leaves. Keep them temp between 70* and 80* and you should be fine, and won't have to worry about mold. Also, you might want to use a sterylized soil, if you're not already.

I use neem oil alot, for fungus/mold and pests, so if you have some, I'd spray a fine mist over top of the soil after you've removed the mold. There should also be some kind of light breeze or minimal ventilation in the room too, and that will help precent mold from forming. That Saranwrap is creating a perfect environment for mold to grow, so if you still insist on using it, I suggest poking a bunch of holes in the top for ventilation. Or better yet, cut the bottom off of a two liter bottle and cover the seed with that. The increased volume will also slow down mold from forming.

It's 7AM and I'm tired, so I'm sure i left out some stuff, but that should help a little, i hope. Basically, you need some airflow.

Ooops, I wasn't paying attention.LOL You already said that you're germinating them in the soil. That works, but next time try it with the good ol' fashioned 'wet paper and plate technique'. If you can keep them at a warm temp(around 80*) steadily, you should have them germinated withing 2-3 days, and poking out of the soil in 5-6. I germinated some a couple months ago, and had a few of them split and in the ground, in just over 24 hours. None of them took longer than 3 days, and over 90% germinated.(I set them on top of my hot water tank, and the temp is absolutely perfect)

Oh yeah, keep them in the dark until they split and are ready to plant. They don't need any light.

That's an even better idea, if you have the patience(it's tough, I know.LOL). But, I still recommend germinating them first, and that will solve your mold problem altogether, because you won't have to cover them at all.

scrape it off the top and continue to grow, if it comes back scrape it off again, its not a big deal, it wont hurt the plant but it is a landing zone for other fungi and bacteria that will if u dont scrape it off.
