You can also tie them up kinda like how they do Christmas trees for sale you know what im saying? But not as tight obviously. Just take some good hemp twine and wrap it around it so it pulls the branches up and supports them. Peace out hope all is well and also i have a job interview tomorrow at whole foods. Pray for me or wish me luck lol.

Hey i got two questions, help pls. 1- I don't have money at all what's so ever for bubble bags and there is no way i want any of my babies to go to waste. I tired contacting companies them selves pleading for a handout to no avail.help. Also should i be trimmingsome fan leaves so the bottom branches get more light? All the buds getting light are turning into monsters but not so much on the bottom.

Go to Ebay and search for herbal bags. You can buy a set of 8 for around $80, the 5 bag set runs around $45. Don't trim leaves unless you need airflow. Leaves are the plant's energy generator. They should not be removed unless for good reason (like airflow). It is normal for lower bud sites to have smaller buds, and some people choose to harvest their plant in stages for that very reason. Hope you did well on your job interview.

An addition to what countryfarmer said, trim dead leaves too. But that should be a no brainer.

You might want to start your own grow thread or a thread specific to your problems instead of asking your grow questions in TLD's grow thread.

But to answer your question. Get an insecticidal soap. You can buy them at any nursery or even at Walmart's outdoor area. Spray and clean each leaf of all insect eggs. After cleaning, spray Spectricide or Seven until your plant is dripping. Since you have two weeks you are within the safety zone for using those insecticides. Also, you may want to buy some Bt and use it because of the moths. Moths lay eggs that result in the dreaded budworm. You can safely use Bt all the way until harvest as Bt is a bacterium which is found in most soils and has been safely used as a commercial product for half a century.

been busy... working 7 days a week, caging plants.... today is a feeding day.... back to work I go....
I can only imagine the amount of work required in a grow your size. Even with only three plants, I estimate with watering, feeding, application of insecticides and other maintenance I spend around 6 to 10 hours per week on them (including travel time to and from the site). While I know you do get some economies of scale with a large grow, the work load has to be amazing.

I couldn't estimate the amount of time I have been working in the garden..... especially lately.... All I can say is it hasn't been enough.... even with planning for the things to do..... I get up at 4 a.m see the garden at 6 a.m. and am off to work.... If I can I spend my lunch at the garden and then back to work..... after work (whenever the work is done) I go bid more jobs, maintain my equipment, make arrangements with the crew I am running right now, and do what I can in the Garden. Im lucky to have time to eat a late dinner with my wife and kids before wrapping up the day and making sure everything is good to go for the next morning..... If Im lucky I can wrap up work by 10 pm and am in bed by 11 pm....... but I don't count on it..... I plan on not closing my eyes until 2 a.m. just to be sure....

Excellent news about your new job traind! I just got my friend a full time job as a dish washer at a local restaraunt and he is extatic as well. My wife is in a job interview as I am typing this and I am confident she will get the job..... and that means my kids will have to go to day care as well..... which is a HUGE THING for us..... we have always been able to manage our schedules around having the kids to cut on child care costs.... but thats not going to be an option anymore..... So I am going to grab a quick lunch, try and find my camera to snap some shots of the garden (its looking sad today, so I might wait on the pics until this weekend)...... I would love to hop in the shower so I don't smell like "Piss Fir" anymore...... but Im just going to go cut more so I might as well wait, :).

If Im lucky I might get tomorrow or Saturday off to spend some time with the family and the ladies...... and if so I will post some more..... and traind..... I don't mind you asking for advice at all, and I just feel bad (like Im letting you down or something) that I haven't had the time to give your grow and other peoples grow the attention they deserve. I like to think that my advice or at least support helps other people like theirs helps me. Until then..... LOVE
