A young couple moves into a new neighborhood.
The next morning while they are eating breakfast,
The young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside.
"That laundry is not very clean", she said.
"She doesn't know how to wash correctly.
...Perhaps she needs better laundry soap."

Her husband looked on, but remained silent.

Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry,
The young woman would make the same comments.

About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a
Nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband:

"Look, she has learned how to wash correctly.
I wonder who taught her this."

The husband said, "I got up early this morning and
Cleaned our windows."

And so it is with life. What we see when watching others
Depends on the purity of the window through which we look

My 2 cents on this....
TLD is my neighbor, so we talk in person or over the phone, so you will see few if any comments from me here.
I learned of his up coming eviction on Monday, and needless to say I was SHOCKED, but I understand why this is happening. So I went to see him yesterday to have a "pep" talk with him, but too many distractions, so i'll post here.
TLD lives in a world that's not real, he puts to much into the thinking that if you do the right thing, the right thing will happen to you (the world would be a great place if that can happen). If a deal is made on a hand shake or a mans good word, then it's a done deal. He lives by these rules, but the world he lives in doesn't. By living like this he will be taken advantage of by others, and I see it happening all the time.
TLD is a man of high visions and aspirations, he thinks in ways that I can never do, it amazes the hell out of me how this guy can process and store information, he's a walking library. But, if he doesn't gain basic wisdom about everyday life and how it works, he will always be stuck behind the 8 ball. And I guarantee if he stays on this track he will gain that wisdom, but at a VERY high price.
TLD is young and full of great ideas, but has TOO MANY IRONS IN THE FIRE! Small steps at a time, and make sure your ass is covered, and save your money for a rainy day. Understand that the world we live in is cruel and unforgiving and will bite you in the ass at the worst times.
So, you need to step up for you and your family (they're all counting on you) and stop this negative posting bullshit and do what you have to do to get your garden to harvest. Stop the bickering with fdd, in fact just stay off the RIU site and put your nose to the grind stone. 100% effort to get that garden to harvest. Haul water 16 hours a day if need be. Chain yourself to your plants if need be. You know the harvest is the answer to your problems, once you get there, life becomes easy again. JUST DON'T GIVE UP, a lot of people are counting on you.
You know I'm here to help where I can, just let me know how I can.
Good Luck my friend

TLD, let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I am not getting involved in all the FDD drama, but I know you can pull all this shit together. I am a few hours north of you, but can make the drive if I need to. Bro, I don't like seeing you in a funk man. There is a solution man, you just meet to roll up the sleeves and make it happen and I am serious about helping you out any way I can. Just let me know.

Passive aggressive disorder may stem from a specific childhood stimulushttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passive%E2%80%93aggressive_behavior#cite_note-4 (e.g., alcohol/drug addicted parents) in an environment where it was not safe to express frustration or anger. Families in which the honest expression of feelings is forbidden tend to teach children to repress and deny their feelings and to use other channels to express their frustration.
Children who sugarcoat their hostility do not grow beyond it. Never developing better coping strategies or skills for self-expression, they can become adults who, beneath the seductive veneer, harbor vindictive intent.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passive%E2%80%93aggressive_behavior#cite_note-5 Martin Kantor suggests three areas that contribute to passive-aggressive anger in individuals: conflicts about dependency, control, and competition.

Maybe I should have said FDD pickering or bashing. I am just not gettin into the middle of the shit. I am set back that as many people are jumping in tld's thread and talking shit. I think encouragement is cool, but obviously he is going through some shit right now. So what is the purpose of the criticising? After all it is his journal right? I am sure there was some frustration and sarcasm in his offer for you to take it over and why would you?

And as for antny, dude lick sack man. I wasn't taking to you. Find another Dick to swing from.

dude does this every year. you would think after 4 years he'd figured it out. am i supposed to cuddle him and tell him it's all gonna be ok? fuck that. HIS ego has caused all this, not mine. i got my shit in order. it's sad to witness all this and i have every right to express that. he expects us all to follow along while things are good, but when they go bad it's "MUM"? i call BS. you gonna put it out there, i'm gonna comment on it.

All I have to say is that I love all the different personalities on riu. especially when the greats clash

people will only learn through their own experiences if they're too bullish to learn from the mistakes of others. I think TLD is learning a lot as we speak. I sure am

I don't know the history. I just joined riu last year. I understand you and tld have had problems in the past. That's why I don't want to get in the middle. Your right though, I really don't know the history, but he has helped me out with a shit ton of advise when I was starting out and has always been straight with me. I was simply offering a hand. I should have said something other than drama and wasn't implying that you created the friction, just that it is there and I am staying out of it.

I don't think so, not in the least. I am good friends with many people that more than recover their costs. Its how they do so that is important to me. I think you can see that, if you think about it. Its highlighted well by the little scenario that was posted a few pages back. Everyone has got to eat and pay their bills and make their life doing whatever they can, and growing quality cannabis takes a lot of work and effort, there is nothing wrong with being compensated for that, but I do have an issue with selfless greed and political facades that endorse our unspoken slavery to money. I would much rather buy my produce strait from the farmer at the farmers market, then pay more to the grocery outlets screwing the farmer over ;).
This goes back in large part to Agricultural markets in general. Most people these days think their food comes from grocery stores.

I just hate money in general. It should be abolished IMHO (and I am not talking about returning to the barter system). Yes I use money all the time just like most people.
