Wanting to do potatoes this fall, you say the tater tire tower is a no go?
I have a couple of broke dick wheel barrows, I could use for the taters.

I've tried potatoes in tubs,tires and right in bags of soil. Low yield of small potatoes was my result. In the ground produced the best but who has room for that.

Same here, never have much luck growing potatoes, the homegrown ones are really good though!
