Thanks for the legal info sub that kind of stuff is super important and hard to get all the details on as you know. I have been looking for a good lawyer to consult on things. I will check out your guys for sure.

Hey Sub got a question about something you said in the last nerd... you said that it's not legal for a medical patient with a card to sell to a dispensary... my understanding was if you joined and were part of the dispensaries collective, there should be no issue at all with selling your flowers to other members of the same collective. Is this not correct? Do you have to have your own collective to sell to another collective?? Very confusing :) Wish CA (and other states) would be a little more deliberative in creating a workable system... it's kinda messed up the legal framework in most states is kind of the sloppy work you'd expect from a lot of potheads -- except these are our legislators lol. I guess it's typical government work though...
The way I understand it is that as a patient of a collective you are naming them as a caregiver, which allows you to give donations and receive meds. Being apart of a collective is a whole other ball game. There are restrictions on how many collectives you can be apart of and how large they can be. You probably need x number of card holders as patients to justify the size of your collective.

Hmm that's not my understanding but I've not talked to a lawyer about it. My understanding is you're either a member of a collective or you're not. No such thing as a collective 'patient' as far as I know. That would imply a doctor/patient relationship that does not exist. But I could be wrong, I haven't talked to a lawyer, just read several guidelines on CA collectives (not mj specific tho not easy to find a lot of info on that as most websites about mj collectives want you to pay them to do it for you)

Sub, real talk. Ace of Spades should come with a notice. Warning: Do not walk through the woods at night after smoking this! Else everything you can imagine will appear right before your eyes. Shiiit!

So what's the deal with my last post being deleted? I was not rude in any way. I conceded that the only plants I can grow in my circumstance were way less tasty and potent than TGA strains. Should I just not post at all? Who's responsible for this? What is this, North Korea?

Not to mention try not to do anything that requires keeping it together all too much, because AoS will make you do some absolutely STUPID shit :)

Sub I got a question for you that's boiling over in my grow thread (as in people are pissed at each other over it) -- keeping plants green to the end... one guy says it can't be done with organics... if your plant is green to the end, it's not mature. He says any plant grown organic is going to fade at the end when it's fully ripened. The other guys are in the 'you can keep it green til the end with organics' camp. What do you think? I got some timewrecks that to me look more mature than yours in 137 (most of the hairs have receded and the buds are swollen and mature looking) -- but the plant is 100% green from top to bottom and looks like she's in her prime as far as overall condition. She's at day 56 now I'm going to take her to at least 63 to be sure...

Almost every post i've ever seen deleted in here is deleted by sub himself. He's said before multiple times in this thread including within the last 2 or 3 weeks that this thread is for the discussion of the show and related topics my guess is if it got deleted he was tired of the (off) topic about a NON tga strain dominating the thread. Just a guess. And no it's not north korea it's called moderating to keep a thread on topic. I guarantee you if you post the same topic in the subcool/tga subforum in it's own thread it won't get deleted -- this thread is for the weed nerd.

I said in the deleted post that I was getting some Timewrecks. It was a well written, well punctuated post. It should not have been deleted. I spent a good 15 minutes on it. Would it kill the mod to send me a pm? I don't have any interest on this forum other than the Weed Nerd, I just wanted to let people know where I am coming from, and eventually I was gonna give info on the mold resistance of the timewreck. North Korea I tells ya.

Just guessing on reasoning stableboy... i can't speak for sub. I'd withhold judgement til you know for sure :)

I may have found an interesting timewreck pheno... have to do more testing to see if the effects are coincidence or due to this one plant...

How low do you suppose a price a of pound can go? I understand, in Denver for instance, that about half the dispensaries have closed since the green rush. The price of 1/4 has gone from $100 to $50 in the shops and they say it cost over $400,000 to even open a shop there. How low can pounds go?

I dunno the one bad thing about legalization is that if they ever do legalize it federally agribusiness will drive the price down until indie growers can't make a living and then all we'll have is crap.

If that were true, then the only wine in liquor stores would be Thunderbird and Eau du Cheese-gonch, which is clearly not the case.

There will always be a market for QUALITY and VARIETY. It's the nature of economics...

Good point... but agribusiness will also make sure it's so regulated that the small guy won't be able to do it for the most part (at least like today). There is already a big % of the people who are anti-mj who will agree to pretty much any regulation proposed to 'keep the children safe', etc. We can already see it in WA and CO. You'll still have people like the guy doin' grandaddy purp and sub who have the resources to stay in it... but they'll make sure it's way too expensive for the small individual grower to both get in and make a profit without a lot of $$ to get started.

And THAT is a good point. It's known as barriers to entry in a market. To which, you are probably on to something there. Especially considering the corporatist nature of politics, the agri-biz oligopoly would have a clear advantage (and desire) in keeping the SMEs from entering.
And so, back into the grey-market one would have to go... it's a bit of a catch-22, no? I'm sure John Nash would have a field day trying to figure out the Game-Theory matrix for that situation. ;)
