I was thinking about adding a little coco coir to my supersoil mix... along with the Roots base soil... any opinions?
I was also thinking about adding some soluable potash, for a little extra boost when they hit flower... any opinions on that?

Other than that, I was gonna throw in a small bag of OregonISM XL... my thinking being that more microbes and bennies the better.
I use the hell out of XL, but I would save it for your regular feedings... try "Extreme Gardening MYKOS" it works really well for amending larger quantities of soil, plus it's way cheaper. It doenst work as well as a regular feeder, but it you are looking for a myko boost. that's the best way.

I want to buy one of those TGA hash pipes (and some of those screen too)! Is that a one-off custom piece you are showing off or will pipes be added to the TGA merch site?

I too would LOVE a TGA bubble hash pipe. If we are starting a waiting list put me on the top of it. No, just shut up and take my mofo money please!

screens are here, took me a while to find where to get these> http://www.everyonedoesit.com/online_headshop/basil-bush-conical-gauze---5-pack.cfm?iProductID=6217

Nice! Doctor who looks dank -- obviously the first question is what are the genetics? :)

Here's my nerd pics of the day... Bloodwreck must have some freaky genes, because it's the one strain in common between the two plants these pics came from

I agree. Much better product IMO and you can add the whole 400g bag right to your mix. Roughly 20$

you can add all the inert ingredients you want, but it's not really going to do shit but water down your SS. The key to SS is it's strong, you put peat or coco in there you are goigng to need to adjust your ingredients (adding more ewc, bloodmeal, bone meal, ES, etc.)

I bitch at people a lot especially when it's their first run at SS and some how you thing that you can already improve it.... start with doing it correct, then adjust one you become skilled.

People fuck that part up all the time, then blame the recipe.... just sayin'.
well for 1 coco is already in the mix so if your making it and add that you really arent watering it down. and im not trying to change it. just wondering if i can substitute. sub used to use peat based so it would be similar just not the newest version of SS.

watched a vid with a couple of subs buddies making super soil and they were using a mix of regular roots and apparently roots has a soil with coco already in it so you might look into that.

I always add extra coco to mine, not a ton to where it would dilute the mix much.... but definitely way more than comes in the roots base soil. The recipe does say the base soil should have extra coco.

i heard the coco mainly has to do with drainage and maybe something about holding more nitrogen or something. i might try with extra perlite instead. mix is already full of nitrogen so i dont think the coco helps that much.
