The Vault’s Skywalker Auto Comparative Grow - in association with Mephisto Genetics

Hey guys and gals I need some led advice. I can't afford to run my 1000 watt hps 20/4 on this auto grow so I found 1 on Amazon that I like, I like some others but they don't come with stealth shipping so I'm kinda stuck on this one. Please give me some input I want to keep it as cheap as possible if I have to I will change to the 1000 watt about week 5. Thanks guys

^weird, like the little seed segments never turned into cotyledon leaves at all, not sure if the plant can absorb anything out of those, so the weak feed for now

theres something not right in the description of that light, it says 200 6 watt leds, which would not be bad, i've got one with 5 watt leds and it penetrates almost as good as my 400 watt hps, but then in the description it says "actual power 340-380 watts".... they may be 6 watt leds but apparently they're only being driven at 1.9 watts?

Its just typical chinese marketting.

my engineer friend just explained to me that i'm a monkey, as long as the lights are hooked up in series, they can all get whatever wattage, they're just drawing more voltage, so its quite possible those leds are actually drawing 6 watts

I get very confused when looking at LED's on eBay. I will always recommend Summit Grow Labs when it comes to LED lights. You don't have to buy the whole setup, although it is sweet. They sell their lights which are a hybrid of 5 watt diodes and COBs. And most importantly they work well for me personally. They are not as cheap as eBay but the owner stands behind his product. I had a problem with my extraction fan and they had me a new one in just a couple days. Good dudes at Summit.

actually after having my friend look at them, they aren't bad, they aint cree cobs with meanwell drivers, but they ought to be as good as a 400 watt hps and produce a lot less heat

seedlings are 6 days old #3 of 3
almost damped off yesterday
i gave it support and whatever process was happening has stopped.
light is 24 hrs a day
they are under 10+hrs sunlight
and rest under cfl
ill share pics when i start using teas. (@ 3 weeks)

I moved my girls into the Grow Lab today. I lowered the lights and they are happy in their new home. I hope now that they are out of the veg tent they will start to grow more vigorously.

update: i looked closer at skywalker #3 base and it is still trying to damp off. i believe the support is the only keeping her alive at this point. we will give her a fight till the end though.

Sorry I'm late to the party. Here's 1 Skywalker in a 3 gallon bucket @5 days. Have another in a 5 gallon that hasn't broke soil yet l, but should be close. Looking forward to this, as its my first involvement in a comparative grow.

As far as lights I'm using the sun and 92 watts of cfl after sun is down. Going to order a 600watt mh/hps between now and Monday. Still on the fence about which I want to order, so if any of you have a suggestion I'm open to it. Only looking at spending $140-175 between an ipower and a vivosun I was looking at. Both are cooltube, because I'm sure I'll need it.
Soil is Premiere (same company that makes pro mix and only $10 for 3 cubic feet) sphagnum peat moss, miracle grow perlite, and 1tbls dolomite lime per gallon of peat. The ratio is 3:1.
Planning on using foxfarm liquid and solubles.

you know you gotta get a fan to go with that cool tube? and some drier vent hose to run your exhaust somewhere? and maybe a filter to keep the odor down if the place you have to vent it to isn't secluded?
for all i know you have all that in place already, just asking if you've considered cooling and ventilation?

put 3 ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide in a quart of 6.0 ph'ed water, put it in a spray bottle, and spray your plant and the soil around it pretty good, not completely drenched but good and wet, once a day, for two or three days. its worked for me more than once.

Hey guys I had 5 break ground only 4 survived, I started them in poo pots, then transplanted into 3.75 gal pots using layers of different compost for stages of growth with a couple worms that escaped the tumbler. Under t5 for a week or so then under my new 1000 watt dimmable ballast, I scratched the led light and going with a dimmable ballast 500 watts would be easier on the wallet then my old ballast. As for fertilizer I have numerous freebies gonna be a mix of rx green solution and the general hydroponic go box. the ones in the first 2 pics are the Skywalkers and the other pic is of their roommates

Put my seeds in a wet shop papertowel, in a ziplock and set on the upper shelf of a dark closet. First time from seed. Oct 1st 5am lets see how these babes grow

i dont have any peroxide on hand if shes still kicking tomorrow (seems stable) i will do this. ive never heard of doing this but wth. thanks for the advice
