Day 60

Getting closer to the chop!
Struggled last week as temps have been regularly touching 30C+ in the garage and I can't really use an aircon unit in there. Bought a bigger fan and I intake from a shaded area at ground level, so it lowers intake air by a couple of degrees and the new fan keeps it at pretty much the same temp. That is why I usually grow photo's in peak summer, so I can have lights off during the day or not grow at all.

Looks a healthier plant than the Brooklyn Sunrise, has more buds, but they are less dense (more sativa like) and she looks like she will take a few more weeks than the Brooklyn will.

She is on the left on the group pic

Day 67, these were taken a few days ago but I have not had the chance to post them until today.

The buds have fattened up a lot over the last week or so. They also seem to have started to have a really nice bluey / purple in them, but it doesn't really show on the pics. I like the looks of this plant a lot.

I have also added a few pics of my actual cabinet as @MasterOf Arts was interested, and it might give someone else ideas or help in the future. Growing in a 28" wide by 15" deep by 32" high converted set of drawers. Lights are basically 12 store bought led bulbs with the globes taken off, 154w in total. Screwed to a wooden frame and hung from the ceiling with a chain so I can adjust if needed. Lights are roughly 6" from canopy at the end of the grows, can't go any further away! That is why I LST and try to grow small, compact plants.

My carbon filter is a homemade 12" x 6" x 2" wooden frame. I put a wire mesh on the bottom, then 2 sheets of carbon cooker hood filter, then roughly 1-1.25" of carbon pellets, another carbon sheet on top, taped it so nothing gets sucked up by the fan, and then screwed it to a hole in the ceiling and sealed so no air can bypass the filter. I have a 4" wall flange on the top outside my cabinet. Attached a 4" plastic bend to that then a 4" red scorpion fan with a bit of ducting to take old air well away from my intake areas. I just unscrew and swap the carbon every couple of grows, and it seems to do the business. Because there is a 1" gap between my carbon and the flange, the air gets sucked through all the carbon, not just the bit directly underneath the hole, so there is an even airflow.

Plant is on the left on the group shot.

Okay so day 37 all three appear to be about the same size and the same structure, two are being grown in foxfarm ocean forest soil, 1 in a 1.33 gallon pot 1 in a 3.44 gallon pot and 1 was grown in a 3.44 gallon pot using Joe's organic soil. My goal was to see if growing in a bigger or smaller pot had any difference and also the type of soil, so far they're all the same they have been under the same 600 watt led light 20hrs on 4hrs off and feed the same thing only Mega Crop.20180728_110533.jpg

As you well know, they are not clones so it won’t be as accurate, but they seem to look to be the same pheno, so this is probably as good an experiment as you can get with autos.
I am looking forward to see how this one goes. They look great so far.

Thanks bro, you are 100% right without taking clones from the same plant there is no way this experiment can correctly be done. It was definitely a shot in the dark, but they are looking ok, so we will see what happens.

Roger Jack vault never messaged me so I will just go with it if he asks me to stop I will do so. These are on day three from sprout. They are under a viparspectra 450w actual draw 200 and a hollandstar led as well with 200 actual draw. I am using plain tap water and just transplanted into final 3 gallon buckets. Unfortunately I had to use Scott's potting soil .4 parts soil to 1 perlite to 1/4 verculimite or however you spell it. Using tap water with a ph 6.2. Lights are about 25 inches from plants for now. Any critiques are well appreciated

Today I have them all a good watering with half teaspoon grow big and big bloom to one gallon of two water at 6.2 ph. I believe I have been under watering them up until now. Temp has stayed between 77f and 81f. Using a viparspectra led 450 actual draw 200w it is 20 inches feom buckets.

Day 75

Weather is cooler now, so temps inside the garage are in the mid to high 20's now during daylight. Buds still bulking up. Neighbours are away during what will be week 12, (about another week and a half) so I will very probably chop then if all goes well. If they need longer then I will wait, but trimming in a garage gets very smelly, so it is better if they are away!

The thing I don't understand is they claim up to 300grMs a plant I still can not see where that is possible. Your plants look great man good job

Thank you.
The claims they make are for an expert grower, probably hydro, with perfect conditions and probably a load of light per plant.
I am a novice gardener in soil, in a small converted set of drawers, with store bought led bulbs in a red hot garage! I don’t expect to get anywhere near that with both plants added together! I would love to, but real life gets in the way.
Saying that, there are probably a few growers in this thread who will not be far off.
It is just the same as the quoted finish date - use it as a guide but expect to go a couple of weeks longer.
To be honest, if i end up with more than 4g dry in total I cover costs. Any more is a bonus, plus i gain more experience every grow. My wife doesn’t give a monkeys about bag appeal as long as it helps her MS.
