Alan Albin Adkisson Berner bought some elbows from a light leak seeded room of Cherry Pie Kush. He was asked not to call it Cherry Pie Kush because the breeder had not stabilized it yet.
He was eating girl Scout Cookies at the time and said it tasted like them. He turned around and put it on the board at his shop as Girl Scout Cookies. That's how it went down. The lies started shortly thereafter.
Like I said the genome mapping project will show what's up.

I tip my hat to you for putting the truth out there and not allow others to take credit for something they did not creat.

GSC is just OG Kush (Crippy cut) crossed with a special phenotype of Durban Poison (which nobody has ever seen, except Berner and his crew). Some breeders enter Cherry Pie in their crosses to bring that purple color and fruity taste to the end product. Because they don't have the right OG and the right Durb. That's just cheating! But there is absolutely no Cherry Pie in original GSC.

This doesn't surprise me at all. The S1's from Chimera threw a couple really kushy phenotypes...

Don't take this personally, but that's a really hard to swallow story.

A Durban cut so special no one except those making the sketchy claims supposedly have ever seen? If it's so special, they would be selling it... special cuts make you a lot of money. Especially sativa doms. Sure they might hold it, but someone else would have seen it.

The story Greenghost posted rings so much truer... explains the color, the smells you can get from S1's, the structure... everything... there is nothing OG like about GSC structure at all (except that it produces golf balls).

GSC is neat and all, but my local shop gets in a Cherry Pie Kush once in a while thats fucking killer.... great high and flavor, and buds so dense they explode when you put them in the grinder.... that i'd love to have a clone of....

I believe GSC has Cherry Pie in it, but I don't think they are straight up the same thing with a different name. For one, GSC consistently tests higher (but that could be grower skill), and for another much more important factor, terpene tests show Cherry Pie's dominant terpene is Myrcene, secondary Pinene, whereas Cookies dominant terpene is B Caryophyllene and secondary Limonene. Personally I like Myrcene strains since Myrcene relaxes the blood brain barrier for THC and can make up for lower %.

One of High Times editors asked Jigga one time to show him the F1 Durb that they're talking about, but he rejected big time.

Berner doesn't need to sell clones!

It's also rumored that Berner and his crew are currently working on a cross, involving this special Durb and Paris OG.

U should check out the gsc from Cali connection. Lol in hindsight. Grew it had decent yields, mediocre smoke, and hermied bad.

There are lots of GSCs out there, but the original GSC is VERY hard to find. It's interesting to know that the guys at DNA Genetics have the original clones and they are working on a breeding project with Jigga since 2013 to cross some of their strains with Thin Mint Cookies.

I have some studies on neurochemistry and pharmacology, but I've never heard anything about relaxing the BBB! Can you explain a little more about that? How does Myrcene help THC to cross the barrier more efficiently?

im done w/ dna forever if this is true... they came to cali & hit heart heart nursery you mean.

cooks is still some tasty nugz. if you look at & search the reports at iron labs, for example, there are those select "samples" of gsc that test uber nice. very high 20s..

me. personally, i find the crosses made w/ the forum cut are great.

so many knock offs.
yet, i see people getting killer results w/ those s1 from chimera too.

Swerve claims he owns the genuine cut, but it probably was just a bag seed from the original batch. GSC is usually very unstable because of the DP genetics.

I heard he got it from another breeder at a cup. Heard that cut was unstable, but he bred it and sold it. Its on Google.
