The aint purposely lying but they aren't telling the truth. You don't learn shit in school...

stock is nothing but ownership in a company. it is simply an investment in a company in hopes the company will make a profit and will eventually share that profit with you.

So, stock = a percentage of a companies ownership?

Corporations are really paper phantoms. American business corporations are made up of your neighbors, family, friends. Every corporate tax is a tax on the people, make no mistake.

I think I see what you're saying about Chinese companies in the argument of morals even as far as fair pay, decent working conditions, environmental concerns, lack of quality control like poisoning children (if that is the real story), so forth and so on, not even to mention their suppressive government! but, I didn't mean that I would take it so far. I just won't invest in company that I think does work for the devil. Like Haliburton.

being emotionally tied to stocks always reduces your return. not a good thing to do.

Let me ask you though... I don't know much at all about stocks .. Im a late in this thread.. but I understand you can buy stock in agriculture... soybeans, corn, etc. If mj were to become legalized .. would that really be a poor move?? i'm saying investing in industral hemp or medical mariijuana or seed companies???? (PLEASE LET'S HOPE THERE'S NEVER A CORPORATE MJ INDUSTRY!!!))) but just a theoretical question??
