Ah, the old stealth grow room behind a picture on the wall trick... ;-)

Can't wait to see what you do with it. I'm sure it will evolve over time. You could do so much. It's like a grow room bat cave.

I am thoroughly enjoying watching your progress -these forums are a great way to share our enthusiasm and interest in this curiosity of botany!

Honestly, I like what errb said a few posts back, if that were my house, and I were growing simply for personal use, I would definitely try to recycle the heat that would otherwise be wasted into space (and you wouldn't have to worry about heat signatures (unfortunately)). A good carbon filter would take care of any odors. Like I said, if that were MY house lol ;)

You know what's best for your situation, and seeing these cool rooms like you have just bring out the mad scientist in me lol!

Sub'd for the ride, looks like it'll be fun!

Props on ur wiring. Very clean
agreed. Is that wire on the "octopus" very hard wire that can hold the weight of the bulbs? like strong i mean. Did u do something so u can move em around? seemorebuds has a book 100$ 8 oz or less and he makes something a little different but i like you're design more. Any details on how those 2 side lites on each end move around? or are they mounted

The wire is a stiff wire that allows you to manipulate the bulbs to get them where you want on the plant. There are 2 stationary bulbs in the center of the fixture and the rest i can position where i want them dependig on the growth ofthe plant.

I somewhat agree with recycling the heat however the "Stealth" part of my garden would be compromised if i were to vent inside considering where the garden is. Not too worried about the heat signatures as my house is over 110 years old and roof melt if to be expected. In the spring i will vent into the pumbing stack for certain.
