The Start of a Attic Grow Room

Can you ask your AC guy how I would go about hooking up a central ac duct to a inline vent to my grow tent? I'm wondering how I am going to go about that, also a friend suggested to me since i'm doing my grow setup in the attic to hook up a drip system from the ac since it has the ac's drip pan in the attic. Is this a good idea or not, if it is how would I go about hooking up something like that?

He said u can hook up a line to ur inline vent , whatever size inline fan u have 4,6,8, inch or so get a AC boot that installs inside the AC line and then hook up to ur fan (SOrry didnt really describe that very well) about using the run off from ur AC he said that water will contain alot of aluminum and copper particles from inside the AC system from the coil and the unit itself so u would probably not want to do that

Dropped my seeds into the rapid rooter plugs this morning and then went to work on the grow area. We moved the main AC house line which use to run right down the center of the new grow space and had to move just about every single air line coming off the main to. They were all either to long or to short. We got about 70% of the AC work done, then i installed the 2 doors tonight as well. One from my garage to the attic and the other from the attic to the grow room. Both doors have weather stripping on them just like any exterior door so that will definitely cut down on the smell and any air leaks. This weekend i plan on installing the 2 vents through my roof which im really not lookin forward to just because i worry about leaks. who really wants to cut into a good roof anyways and then hopefully finish the AC up. Today while i was thinking about the grow area i started to wonder about what size mil plastic i was going to use for the floor (protecting my drywall underneath) and i decided im going to use the thick rubber sheets that plumbers use when they ruff in showers . Its alot more durable and u can glue it together and it wont leak at all , the only problem is that its $5 for 1x4 feet so its going to cost me roughly $150 to seal the floor up but that shit will last forever. Anybody got a good 6"inline fan they use in particular , the hydro shop i go to sell Ecotec and i think it only move 240cfm what do you guys think .Will that be enough to pull the air out of my lighthood and exhaust out the roof, im thinkin ill need a inline vent booster.

No prob man, if we all help each other out, then we save money and dont stress out as much .

Canfan is a really good brand from what i know, but there are other companys out there. So do your shopping check out some other links or stores before you just buy. Oh shit and another thing i just thought of you might want to try, since your rooms just wood not sure if you have any equipment but if you dont might want to make a list and see if your local shop or a online shop will hook you up since your going to be buying so much ya know might as well see if you can get a hookup, you know, who ever you go throw will love you in when the bill comes.

worked on the room a little bit today , set the 2 locks on both doors then i cut through the roof and installed 2 6 inch metal vents (one for light exhaust and the other for fresh air intake) so now i just have to wait for the money for some good inline fans. One step at a time even if there just baby steps. I also found out yesterday that in order for the grow room to have its own AC zone im going to have to buy a $350 computer board and a $100 + bypass damper . Its more than i wanted to spend but it the long run it will save me money because that smalll room will have its own zone and i can keep it 75 degrees up there and in my main house ill keep it at 79 degrees like i always do. Right now my other grow area i have to keep AC in back of the house at 75-77 degrees all the time and it will be so nice to have that extra zone for up there

No dont plan on having a house fire but believe me i do worry about that a little bit, but everything done up there was done by a licensed electician so i dont think i have anything to worry about. Most fires start because of faulty wiring or a outlet overloaded, i dont have either of those probs

Thanks everyone for the comments, im planning on using that area for the flowering room , i already have a room for veg. I plan on growing 4 pineapple express, and 5 balackberry mostly, but i have 1 power kush 1blue widow 1 LSD 1 white widow seedlings right now. I have to keep under 24 plants where i live ,anything over that and they consider u a commercial drug dealer and theres a minimum mandatory sentence. I havent posted anything lately because ive run out of money but i plan on doing some more work this weekend hopefully. Ill post more pics on monday and hope to have the room up and running by the middle of next week
