UPDATE: Day 54 of 12-12

here we go...seems to be ok but I laid off the nutes today...I had been dosing her every watering, and I think I might be gettin' some nute burn finally....ends of some leaves are a little brown, and fan leaves off the top cola are canoeing a bit....I think it's either that or a magnesium deficiency ? Anyways, here's some pics....This time I used a spray paint can instead of a water bottle for scale...Tough to see but the buds on the lower branches are pretty decent...I think I counted around 15 lower branches, and I am thinking I should get at least 1/4 of each one of those.....then of course the Main Cola will be added to that....

C99 & Power Flower - Day 1 - VEG

ok, so it' been a week, and this is what I got with these two...second true set of leaves are just coming in...I think they have been growing slow...And, I think this is due to not using a heating mat, but I am going to buy one on ebay I think...Since I don't have some setup to get an army high all I need is a small one so I am looking at this....This will fit under my current seedling greenhouse, and I will get another one the same dimensions to use for clones.....Here is a link to the ebay heating mat I am looking at :

I am debating still whether or not to get the adjustable heat one or not...Size is 4" x 12".

I am going to call this day 1 veg...I also just watered my medium before I put in the propaganda pots...It was watered at one point but it dried out...I heard you should let it sit at least a day but I may not be able to catch the seedlings before they dry out tomorrow so I just went and transplanted...I did this at one of my transplant stages on the Kerala Skunk, and it didn't seem to bother it.....

I just heard that if you have a longer flowering sativa that you should cut the lighting down to 10-14 starting in the 9th week of flowering to help her finish up.......Anyone else ever hear of this before ?

General Pics

Here's some pics of just some basic daily stuff....I put together some of my new air-pots, and positioned them in the cab trying to figure out how to fill the bottom with pots....Those two blue pots are 5.6 gallons...The pot I am currently growing in is 3.6 gallons (they say 5 gallon equivalent though - I hate that).....So those two blue pots should produce something nice....Those smaller red pots are 1.2 gallons...I will probably put some clones in there from the two I got veggin' now to fill the cab out..

I also added two more bulbs to the veg compartment for a total of six 23 watters...Since I transplanted yesterday I could definitely see an increase in growth so they should be ready for take-off.....They are ready for their Space Ride, lol.....

The last pics of the KS show that more leaves seem to be canoeing...I just did a mini-flush getting about 2 gallons of runoff...Hoping that gets rid of any possible nutes built up.....If that is not the problem I noticed the temp was 85...that's about 6 degrees higher than normal...I think it's either due to house temp increasing at this time of the year, or I have to tweak with one of my new intakes - I may have put it too close to another one from the other chamber....

Also, showed some pics of spots on some of the leaves...these spots have been there since end of veg or early flower I can't remember when exactly...I thought maybe it might be micro-nute deficiency..they haven't been getting any worse so that's good...

The last pic shows my FIM job...the new growth grew out like that ,and has been like that ever since, lol..I just thought it looked funny....

looks like you're gonna do well with that big plant bro, way to go. i tried the 10/14 with the big weed the last grow, can't tell ya if it helped or not but some people think it does. you never know unless you have something to compare it to. good to see the space cab in full blast mode, LoL.

Well I put a bigger fan in the flower chamber as it only had two pc fans in there...That should help lower temps....

I also ran a power outlet to the veg chamber....I will probably just use that to power the small bottom chamber as well...

I then put a pc fan I had laying around in the veg chamber....Got to make sure them girls got some thighs to hold themselves up....Awwwwww Yaaaaaaaa....

Also took a couple of bud pics...The first bud pic is the main cola..It appears there are actually buds coming out the cola itself...Kinda crazy....Also looks like maybe some of the hairs might finally be turning red ? The other bud pic is of one of the lower bud spots

I take it you like the air pots. I'm really thinking of trying them out. Were you able to get a good deal on them? Yes I am a cheap bastard lol. She's looking good to bro .

hey skinny thanks....I bought air-pots based on doing a lot of research....Most all of the reviews were positive...they were a few haters mixed in there but they really had nothing to back their hate up, lol....Since, I am a new grower it's hard to say how much better they are....All I know is that I see new growth just about everyday whether in the veg or flowering phase..In the flowering phase it's been bud growth....And it seems everyday when I see the new growth my reaction is always, "Wow!"....

The current plant I did veg in a party cup for a week or so....Since then I bought the party cup equivalent in air-pots...They are their propagation air-pots which are .3 gallon......I already have seen growth, and have been impressed...

You definitely should not have to worry about any root bound plants....And one last thing - I heard watering can be a pain in the ass...I am not sure where this comes from as I have no issue whatsoever...It's simple.

I searched and the cheapest I found the air-pots was at Rogue Hydro....I have ordered from them 3x now with no problems...In fact, one time they took a little longer than normal to get my order out so he tossed a couple of bottle of plant things in...I can't remember what they were exactly as I have not used them....One I think might have been for pests....

Black Dollar General fabric shopping pots are a buck, hold up to 7-1/2 gallons of soil, and have handles. If you don't mind the bright blue color, the Walmart version has larger handles and is only 50 cents. I call them ghetto grow bags and stand by them 100%!

Those look great for outdoors! Did you poke holes in them? I definitely want air-pots for my indoor cab. And 2-3 gal is the size I want.

You don't need to poke holes man, they are fully breathable, cloth bags.

Well this plant is officially insane....I went down there today, and it was leaning over because of the size/weight of the cola....So I ghetto rigged a supported...I duct taped a coat hanger around the pot, and used some wire to secure it to an LST screw, lol.....

When I put my hand in the plant to put the coat hanger around it I could not believe how much that cola weighs ! Wow, that thing has some SERIOUS weight to it !!! No wonder it started leaning over....

Also, it was super sticky...So sticky in fact, that I washed my hands not once but twice with anti-bacterial lsoap after I touched it, and it basically did nothing...That stickiness is like tree sap...And, they stank did not come off my hands after washing them either !!!

That's the good news...The bad news is that I am having trouble sealing the light between the two veg chambers....For some reason there are like 2 tiny specs of light coming through....I put my video phone in there to record....I would say it looks like there are two tiny distant stars...The leaks do not light up the other chamber...It just looks like a couple of stars....Wondering if this would be ok considering these chambers are only for vegging ?
