the reputation thing on this forum

ok..how does someone that has no clue at all about what they are doing or talking about get all these high reps?..i think i've seen some that were at stranger one day, and the next they are a stoner?..wtf?..not that i really care that much, i just don't get it...

The words Stranger and Stoner have nothing to do with rep, they're related to your post count. I think you're a Stranger till you reach 25 or 50 posts. It changes quite a few times.

they were trying to make sure it meant something, me, I think there is not anything you could do that would please everyone.
Its not unusual for an experienced grower to check in, others that have that same level of experience will recogniize it, and with 90,000+ members we need thier help, we are liable to rep them quickly, at least I know I do that.
I try to rep everyone that stops in and responds to our Welcome New Members Thread, its hell to get ignored when you say HI, so I appreciate their help, we get so many new folks, its hard to keep up.
One other thing I would like to mention about rep, and thanx for giving me a place to repeat this, if you give someone rep, let them know who you are, I usually just put VV at the end, I do not give negative rep. VV
