NEVER STARVE YOUR PLANTS OF NITROGEN. Raising your P and K and lowering your N is just pure stupid. Your leafs should never turn yellow. Stop reading your Jorge Cervantes picture books or Ed Growsnothingatall and pick up a plant science book. Miracle grow/tap water/potting soil from your favorite retail store will grow top shelf A+ solid nugs.
Growing weed is easy. IF you bought a PH pen already, take it back NO ONE knows how to even properly use those things. Requires double distilled ion charged lab water but the stoners at the grow shop didn't tell you any of this. The truth is a 3 $ bottle of Miracle Grow can grow weed better than any 'Grow Shop" bottle of bloom crap. GOOD LUCK NEW GROWERS. DONT MAKE THE MISTAKES I DID, GROWING WEED IS SIMPLE. Don't trust ANY grow shop operator or Marijuana Grow Book. Its just science, its just a weed.

ok with the potassium myth, but as for the ph pen, come back when you have more posts and knowledge. ive been to botany class dozens of time. a ph pen is what everyone used for every crop everywhere. down another royal with cheese dude, its phed wheat in that bread. ph can be rated with a moble lab device. im a botanist not a stoner. hands down ph meter is whats needed for plant period. botany 101.

sounds good to me, ive been using mg for 10 years..never used a ph pen before either..though i will say many of my landrace sativas have 2 cycles of leaves, the first set of fan leaves will yellow and fall even if you have n toxicity in the rest of the plant, all the way up they fall around 13 weeks then the second set comes in at the base of the buds and are done around 20 weeks..not all do this, almost like loosing baby teeth

while i do agree with some of this i alos wouldnt necess. call it a myth, i have said from the begin that lowering nitrogen late in flower right when they need it most to 'flush' is the worst idea anyone ever came up with, but plants CERTAINLY need potas. it is not a myth it is proven science so. yea. good day

I work in Agriculture, that is some horseshit lie. Find a grower that PH s the canal water anywhere in California. No one growing over 10 acres os going to PH their water! It would cost thousands of dollars in chemicals to PH for 600 acres of Almond trees. You are not a botanist. you plant science teacher let you use a PH pen, thats not real world growing experience. Lies. Weed is PH tolerent.

Grow yourself an indica in pH5 or less solution and tell us all what happens.

great post ! and people that don't check there ph don't grow, unless the FUCKING ph is in speck out of the hose already and they are lucky, all I can tell you water out of my tap is very high 13 ish will lock the plants up for sure, so nobody listen to those stupid fucks and not check an important thing the ph. I can guarantee you dead plants if its way to high or low, or very sick ones

how on earth did you get your PH that low??? I am not suggesting to people to intentionally fuck up PH. you would have to try like hell to fuck up a PH that bad. you shooting straight battery acid and thenadding baking soda? follow the directions onyour nutrients and if that is giving you a PH of under 5 then wtf are you buying!? the gypsy grow shops got you spinning brother

in my 3 years of growing for my self and all my other mates who grow have never and will never check there ph of there plants and have been growing for over 50years combined they to this day have never had an issue with ph they only give it a basic cheap 15/15/20 and have grown some of the biggest plants i have ever seen i have been saying for years ph has fuck all to do with growing anything yes some plant like more acidic soil but as "impman" said "No one growing over 10 acres os going to PH their water!" i have spoke to a few farmers who grow tomatoes and other crops and they also have said that they do not use and ph testing as it is not a problem and the ph will naturally fluctuate

If you wouldnt drink our tap water then dont give it to your plants or pets. Use common sense.

You said pH didn't matter. Obviously it does.

BTW, you've got it back-to-front: the plant isn't pH tolerant, it's nutrient ratio tolerant. pH simply determines what nutrients are available at what levels.

you cant compare outdoor plants grown in the ground to container plants but anyway I don't ph anything and never have any problems

I am a new WEED grower BTW. and I am angry at weed grow books, grow shops, and old time indoor growers that use voodoo to grow a weed. New growers should not have to run into brick walls every turn like i did. I am just trying to grow meds for myself and I made the horrible mistskeof buying Jorges bible and eds bs. I should have talked to me neighbor growing a 15 foot tall tomato plant on my fence. Instead i just noticed her Miracle Grow in the garage. hmm i thought, maybe growing weed is not some epic scientific quest. Maybe it just needs hose water, soil, light and a littleMG. And blammmo, i grow top shelf buds with only 5 grows under my belt. I am a newb fighiting for newbs.
Go green, go simple. Love growing weed. dont turn this into a nightmare of chemicals, phing, changing lights. dont egen get me started on sll the cash i wasted on CO2. thats another thread. the CO2 at 1500ppm myth.

yeah i know outdoor and indoor are different but unless your feeding your plant acid you shouldnt have to ph it that much unless you using hydro as that is a whole different can of worms

hydro is nothing like growing in soil

again ph does matter, but it doent matter as muhc as people think and its not as big of a deal as most think, if ur ph is below 5 for ANY WATER, the shit ur using is having serious problems and u shouldnt even touch the water, good luck

You came to the wrong guys thread. I think hydro is silly bullshit. Some stoners were frying on LSD at Disneys Epcot Center and decided to grow weed like them. Then the grow books came flying out for pot heads. Ya dudes grow weed hydropincally its the future! Its Disneys futuristic world when thereis no more fucking Soil and we have to figure out ways to grow so we dont have to eat himan flesh. like when thereis 80 billion humans n earth lets go hydro. I dont make any friends on RIU I know. but i have saved at least two new growersI know of. and thats enough for me.
