not comfortable talking about the actions of all those tea partiers that got voted into office so you turn the subject to the centrist in the white house?

this is about the tea partiers that folks like johnny so dearly wanted to be elected, and their governance. if you want to talk about the president, start another thread.
anyhoo, how about those mandatory drug tests? cool stuff, right?
i mean, if i was governor, i would not go on a crusade making sure the children of stoners starved. if i really wanted to make sure none of the financial aid went to drugs, i would spend money on mandatory financial management courses instead of drug tests, so maybe they could break the cycle of poverty. or distribute the money in cards that can't be cashed out (although i'm sure some would find a way).
so yeah, how about those mandatory drug tests?

The Tea Party is about smaller government. Their specific agenda was bringing the troops home and quit being the policemen of the world. The money saved by NOT extending our empire would be used to take care of the current entitlements. With the knowledge that the entitlements in their current form need to be changed as they are not very efficient and wont be around too long.
Talk about compromise. THAT should have been a left leaners wet dream. Stop the aggression in the Middle East and take care of entitlements. The lefties are every bit the war mongers the right is. The proof is in the pudding.

most of what you said is correct and i mostly agree with. but it really only applies to the original tea party, as deprave points out. as he aptly points out, it has been hijacked.
poor ol' ron paul will have to rename the tea party now. deprave is even calling it the "liberty movement".
and the point of this thread is to mock that, really. but i also enjoy a good mocking of ron paul worshipers.

Wasn't one of the big problems with drug testing for welfare that it's too expensive and doesn't really accomplish anything because most drugs leave the system quite quickly?
I hear in Florida they deduct the costs of the test from your benefits? So if you pass the test you get to miss out on that aid because they wanted to make sure you aren't smoking any weed? Seems pointless, but TBH I haven't really been following the story... Am I way off base here?

I like the tea party but you are right. Some how there will be a third party in the elections the votes will get divided and odumbass will win. Then alot of odummy supporters will find what the SOB means by hopey,changey.
