the poppy lady

Those will work if you grow a crop but if you just want to make tea 500 seeds is nowhere near enough.

yes, a winter crop but those look like ornamentals, go big, get some of the ones bred specificly for opium production.

the very first time I bought pods, I got them from a place that was importing them from the middle east.

they were dark, there were tears all over the pods and stems. I never put it together till recently. A tea made with five of those made my wife and I sick. A second steep made us sick AGAIN.

the place went out of business and I began getting them from eBay. I am certain that these were either ornamentals or bred for seed. While they worked just fine, we had to use three times as many and they never were so strong. If there were tears, they were not that glossy black tar but rather brown

the ones I recently harvested were fine but as I recounted, they didn't yield anything smokeable and they just weren't as strong as I would have hoped.

I am now a firm believer in genetics. Not so much different than pot. You can get some bag seed or you can get the high grade gear.

I imagine poppies have been being selectively bred for a couple thousand years for their opium production, they must be quite potent.

imagine a breeding program of land race poppy genetics..you could become a seedbank or breeder..canndos poppy paradise! look for the new drop this summer "og afganistan x thailand goo pods #1(bx)":-D

poppys like anything else, the genetics are very imporant , but the correct genetics matched to the right climate is what produces .
In afgh. all the growing areas within the provinces have their own specific varity that is adapted to their climate , the seed has ben selectivly breed for thousands of years

Most of their seed is P.S. var album galvanica , the 'quens poppy' or 'afghan special'

If you search around the UNODC site they have tons of poppy info about everything from growing to documenting varitys to regions

Anyone know where to get good pods here? I can only find them for like a hundred a pound and I would prefer those to oxicontin every day. I just moved to a new area so I don't have a doctor out here to get oxi prescription filled anyway. Please help!
