i really had to search for it, too..it is very sad (poignant) because he looks like the old man and at first glance, thought it was..then, i thought he was doing 'the simpsons' impression.

same with pretty much all conservatives, and the studies bear it out.

liberals deal with facts and shape their beliefs around those facts.

conservatives tend to establish a belief, and then only seek out information (true or not) that reinforces those beliefs. they use cognitive dissonance and outright denial to deal with facts that disconfirm their false beliefs.

i'll cite the study when i get back from switching the irrigation.
