What is the best/correct way to get pH, EC, TDS, & PPM readings, from soil, with Elec. Meters(pen)? Is this too easy for this forum? Detail please.

I guess FIM, Topping and LST are examples of "advanced growing techniques".
Or maybe breeding as well....maybe.
As far as how to take ph readings in soil...a ph meter or pen would do fine. I use one pen to check soil and water ph. PPM/EC meters would only work for hrdo I'd assume. I never saw a tool that checks PPM or EC in soil. But it may exist....I just havent seen it before.

Steve, I'll say one thing, you could also be called koolkat. 
I have never considered checking nute strength of soil, so I don't know about that. Checking pH of soil involves measuring pH of what you put in and compare to pH of what comes out. Most growers simply adjust pH of what they put in. For a better idea, check this page:

Usually when the site goes down improvements are being made or the program that runs the forum is being updated.
As rollitup grows larger and larger the servers have to be uprated more cache added, just so it can cope with the peak levels of traffic.

Lol.. this was the first thread made under AMC, and this post reminded me of the recent thread here about (what ppl thought AMC should be..)
post was made July 2007.. six years later.. FIM/TOPn/LST are still the same advanced techniques...
