I don't know if it's just me, but I can hardly stand to watch the news anymore....Heather Hiscox pisses me off to no end and the fucking endless crap they continually churn up....it's like there's nothing important to talk about. This war memorial "incident" best be ending after today ffs. I can't watch ctv either and there's not much point to watching American news. I guess I'm getting tired of being spoon fed what someone else thinks I should know. end rant

Learned when I was a little kid to not read the news.
It's 99% bullshit and a perspective from some moron who thinks he can write it up.

I gave up watching the news years ago. If I am going to get fed bullshit, I'd just as soon wade through multiple accounts of the story from multiple sources online and try to find the truth somewhere mixed in with the shit.

yes, but the date at the top doesn't count and they get that wrong as well.

:)

Just saying ...if you want to make yourself miserable. Read the news daily or watch reality TV at night when you get home.
Same shit. It's for entertainment purposes. That idea sells more, than Johnny got good grades.

It's not only news that tries to shape public attitude through TV. You see it in sit-coms and reality tv as well. What struck me as a blatant example were shows like 'secret millionaire' and 'undercover boss' that appeared in the wake of the bank meltdowns and 'Occupy' movement. Trying to cast a human side to the 1%. Pure propaganda.

Most all people don't know what the individual letters in news stand for.
NEWS = North East West South, to cover all regions!

I think it has a lot to do with turning 50 and coming off this fucking morphine...I spent years laying in a haze watching the world go by....now, while I still have pain, I seem to be looking at things/life from a whole new perspective. I like it...I feel like I'm not quite the pushover I used to be.....and the news repeated over and over and over is just stupid and I don't have a lot of patience for stupidity these days!

I see a lot more of a real perspective with shows like the trews hosted by Russell Brand...
sort of a breath of fresh air....to lay things out as they really are....intended..
