complete fertilizer formulations have calcium nitrate and magnesium nitrate thats why all our liquid and water soluble are complete formulations without making a point like cal mag is a extra product

i just looked at jacks it doesn't have calcium nitrate but it does have magnesium sulfate which is Epsom salt.

That's why the calcium nitrate is separate.

The reason why its separate is because that's how you make more money off of people that don't understand that it should be part of a complete formula it also uses Urea is a low cost nitrogen fertilizer form.

calcium nitrate is sold separately because that's how you make more money from people that don't understand chemistry. it also contains urea which is a cheap form of nitrogen. and if you are growing "organically" then you will not use synthetic fertilizer or else it wont be "organic".
