I pinch the tops that were out growing the group. Also, im super anal about making sure your watering evenly also, achieving full saturation of the medium so all the roots are building evenly... No dry areas in the rootzone. Dub

Hey there fellow Mainliners! I started a new thread for the purpose of identifying strains that we have Mainlined. Thought it might serve as a one-stop place to look before starting the technique on a strain to see if anyone has done it before, success (or not!), tips, etc.

No offense, but I'm not going to base my opinion of a strains workability from one growers perspective.

There are too many variables besides growers ability that would determine whether a strain was 'mainlinable' or not. Genotype, phenotype, grow medium, grow setup, length of veg. time, temp and RH, 4-8-16-32-64... headed canopy. I have yet to see anything grown out that didn't benefit from this method, and this thread serves the purpose you are trying to create.

Not trying to disrespect, just don't really see a need?

Nugs- I lost track of my spot in this giant thread, I was wondering if mainlining can be done effectively with late clones? (asymmetrical ones) If yes, do you have any pointers to manage that?

would gently bending down your autos branches a few times each day(not tying them down) to allow the lower branches to grow more outwards before they grow upwards be classed as semi mainlining?

i ask this, because ive been doing that with my current autos just to see if it has any effects overal. but my Blue Mystics are only 4 weeks old and have been deloficated a few times to to see if all these useful methods can improve the overal inpact on my harvest in roughly 2 months time. and if i get good results from it i can bring the same methods into my future femmed kaia kush grows when my current uatos are all harvested.

i was when i first joined i think i got upto page 100 until this thread exploded with over 250 pages of posts and useful pics to better help you see from all sorts of stages. an inbetween my weed nerd injections an grows, its hard to keep up with all the visual and information you come across. Think im gonn ahve to clone myself just for the info side of rollitup lol

but atleast i no my method is under some name as that helps me for when i get inti using my kaia kush beans on my next grow. so cheers jaydub.

Yessir, rollitup is a wealth of knowledge and info for growers. Tying down branches to widen the canopy is called low stress training, or LST. You'll want to familiarize yourself with LST, bondage, super cropping, and topping to really figure out the process of Mainlining (or the modular SCROG as nugbuckets also calls it).

You will have an easier time learning how to mainline on regular photoperiod based genetics. Good luck! Dub

Yes but it is generally easier if they were taken during early veg so that the nodes are opposite; not alternating. The problem is my mother was a reveg so her and all the clones are alternating. I will dry it but the growth will be uneven.

Pull one side down more so it's even. I don't know how far apart the nodes are but hopefully it isn't a big difference.
