The Main-Lining Thread

Indicas are definatly you cola dominant strains as they then to be shorter than their Sativa counterpart. However this does not mean this happens 100% of the time, it all depends on genetics really. The only true way of knowing is trial and error by yourself and finding strains that fit your needs. :) As far as your girls go it looks to me like a bit of nitrogen deficiency, easy fix just add some nutes with a higher N content than what you are currently using. For example if you are using strictly blooming nutrients now mix in a bit of the nutrients you used during veg(assuming you vegged anyway)along with the blooming nutes with your next watering. Also be sure to keep a close eye on the PH of your water as coco tends to hold salt build up left behind from nutrient formulas. Hope this helps
Ahh thank you for clearing that up for me. Yes I think it really becomes a grey area in approach to hybrids, trying it for yourself is definitely the only tried and true. She looks really yellow because of the light in the ceiling, shes a nice green but she does have a deficiency of some sort. I thought it was sulfur and magnesium deficiencies in combination so I've started supplementing with epsom salts. She's looking a bit better now, but the older leaves which were showing the deficiencies are still slowly dying/getting worse while the new stuff seems all fine. I think i will add some veg next feed thanks for the help!

Thanks Nugs...you shared more than enough info here and anyone that wants to learn mainlining can do it from this thread.

It was the most positive thread I have seen on any of the forums...means you run clean energy not just in your room an techinique but everywhere...Maybe Mr. Da Bumps can put down the bong for a second and compare what is here with elsewhere....and take the time to read and search....what a cool forum and good idea to shut it down before it gets ugly and no sense in answering same questions over and over and over and over and over again :-)

Thanks again and will lool for the glamor shots on TGA by Others!

This is a fitting ending to the thread....thanks bro....

Random update for this place. My little 8-headed AOS is not so little anymore. Here she is at day 71, 19 days into flower. Also her new set of leaves are starting to claw. I really wish I knew what the hell was causing it, as it's starting to spread. Open to any suggestions as to what might be causing it or how to prevent it.

Ok, I think I have a plant that may be ready for the mainline process. This is my CH9 Vintage 2006. Can someone tell me if I have the pictures diagramed correctly? (both pictures diagram the same place - just that one is a bit closer up) If I have the placement correct, should I go ahead and do it or should I let the entire plant grow more? My thinking is to go ahead and do it and don't waste the growth on what I would be cutting off.

in the second picture it seems to look like you will be cloning leaves. Don't do that. It's funny. They do root but they just sit there and live as a leaf. The nodes if you will the one that says 2 mains those would be your mains. But the leaves are just leaves. Now if you want to have something to clone go up one more set of symmetric leaves. Where the leaf meets the main trunk of the plant that is where the "tops" come from. Maybe I just misread your second pic but I would hold off and cut one more thing up. and leave those shoots that are comming out of the main trunk on both nodes and then clone the bottom ones. Yah dig? I might have confused you more but just go up one set of leaves and cut the trunk off above the next set of leaves up and then clean up everything below those 2 when you take the 2 growths for clones.

Thanks, Bumps! Appreciate the info. No, you read it right, actually. I was wrong - the mains that I had marked is actually at the 1st true symmetrical node. Below that is just a leaf. The node above where I marked mains is the 2nd true symmetrical node. That is where I'll start the manifold. They should be ready in about another week. The 'mains' that I marked would actually be the clones, right? I hope I'm right - then I just may have figured something out tonight :)
