dude, that blows.....i have run 3 different phenos of ACE and have not had any monkey food at all, and this last FP ace i stressed the shit out of with a soil mix she just hated...and not even a late stage nanner......she dis get some PM though, i figure her defenses were a bit low....but i whacked her with some baking soda/neem/soap, with the atomizer and got rid of it.......hoping your other phenos are stable, and dank....nugs

Yeah man I am literally like distraught about it and shit.... Only in the beginning when I first started growing did I have any kind of problem hacking the shit out of a plant that didnt need to be around anymore but this one is making it tough..I actually chopped up my DP blueberry because I didnt like the way it was coming out, I wanted that space to put my last AOS in and I decided she had to be sacrificed.. I'll grab some pics of them tonight but I'm really hoping the other AOS I just put into 12/12 has something like that one, its a much denser, shorter, indica leaning pheno in general so I'm thinking its definitely got to be bcs dom. but we all know that doesnt necessarily mean she'll be colorful.... I have 3 total, the fruity pebs, the short indy one I just put in and another that has been in 12/12 just as long as the fruity pebbles and shes still not showing anything. That AOS and a spacedawg popped nanners on me so hopefully I caught it before anyone got skeeted on, I hope I did anyhow.... They looked like they were just pushing out and hadnt opened.. At least I tell myself that I caught it in time, LOL.... I am gonna throw a cut of the fruity pebs in a 1 or 2 gallon pot and flip them, maybe the pot wasnt big enough?? I dont know I screwed up somewhere... When I chop it I'll see how the roots look, however the blueberry I chopped down the other night was no where near root bound and it was in the same pot a month longer than the AOS..... so maybe I'm reaching for air with that theory but something caused it.....

I swear though the only strains I've had throw nanners on me are the ones that have JTR as the pappy.. well that and the spacedawg thats throwing them as well.... For some reason me and the JTR line cant get right...

That could be a pretty cool niche market there. Pollen sales for all those at home breeders! Can you imagine what kind of buds would be out there?! NO ONE KNOW WTF THEY WERE SMOKING?!

Hey Nug i wanted to knw your opinion on an unanswered question about blooming. Do you consider the plant to be in bloom period from the time you switch the light to 12/12 or do you consider the first week of flowering to be the one were you see the frst pistil - the rest being pre-flowering.
I've seen smart people defend both thesis and i was interested to know your opinion on that...

Cheers , have a dank day!

You start counting your "flower" days from the day you switch to 12/12... lol, at least i do anyway.

I agree. I tried it both ways actually, and came to find out that most breeders must count from the first day of 12/12 because their stated flowering times were usually almost exact....as long as you keep your plants happy.

yeah, to keep shit straight i think it is best to start counting the day the light cycle changes, i notice an immediate change in the energy of the plant, she will wilt ever so slightly with the spectrum change, and her new growth will twist just a bit.....she sure recognizes the switch within minutes, so i believe the grower should as well.

hey nugs, what is the AOS high/potency like?
im running it now (i flip next week) and have 3 phenos to choose from.
you know...in Sub's description he says it's high is like getting ripped for the first time.....and i have to say, i agree whole-hearted-ly. ......my eyes get totally cashed, cottonmouth.....the rush is fast and intense, kind of confusing buzz with the racey influence of JTR along with the heaviness of the Kush....its a bit of a mind body fuck until you get into its groove. ....it gets me way into my body, and i usually end up stretching or going for a long walk.....i like to dance with it.......like concert weed...the "come down" is really soft and warm-blanket like, and my body is relaxed, limber, and pain-free when i come back into it after soaring from the sativa influence. .......potency i would give it a solid 7.5.......10 being "green-out" herb........it is strong for me, but i have a lower tolerance than most....it is highly requested over other strains primarily due to its potency, bag appeal, and aroma.....it just smells incredible......doesn't taste like much though....i have the BCS dom pheno and all the berry that comes with it, it does however have some underlying lemon, and i also have smelled the zogg's sex wax too....when trimming it can make some people woozy without ventilation....its very powerful energetically at harvest, and I often notice people take notice of it, like "whoa, that plant is intense looking!"....the colors don't really look real, and she has this "other-worldly" aura.....she's pretty bad ass....i do want to search for a pheno very similar, but with larger resin heads......she is frosty, but small grained heads.....her bubble does not bubble much (which could be grower error), but seems pretty chalky/sandy, and does not gloss over.

Lab Notes...........:leaf:

.....flipped the scrogless scrog.....it took me a total of 58 days from sprout to veg and build this huge 32 headed manifold.....the argument that Main-Lining adds too much time is invalid...it is simply having the proper set-up, and learning how to listen to the plant, and work with it, not against it....it comes with practice.....she stands a total of 8 inches from the soil line, and has 18 inches from the tops to the glass on the hood....i am hoping she will only stretch 10 inches vertically leaving 8 inches between the terminal colas and the glass.

....This Harliquin will be flowered under a T-5, i have yet to see what a T-5 can do in the flower department....she was a slow vegging plant, took to Main-Lining well, but was sprouted the same day as the plant above, and is way less developed...but fits the experiment perfectly.....she has 16 heads.

No worries, i was just hoping to see some of the more popular growers put some info up on their favorite phenos.... Then maybe people would be more inclined to share. No biggie tho...
