The wife and kid went out to visit family today so I have the house all to myself. I was able to take the girls into a room with better light for photos...
Day 61: No nutes or water or anything since Thursday... I scoped her again today and almost all her trichs are cloudy. I see almost no clear and very little amber. I'd say she is 95% cloudy. She smells fucking awesome. I haven't made up my mind yet but I think I may harvest her today while I have the house to myself.

I was about to protest and say I had no space and that I'm not a firm believer in the dark period but I just remembered that I have this big box I was going to use for drying a few months back. I modified it so it was light proof. It is just sitting there empty. So I think I am going to take your advice and toss her in that box for a day or two and then scope her again.

Yeah, I sure am bored. But I can't watch college football... Its so... pointless.
Seriously though... Almost all cloudy trichomes and a scattering of amber. Clear is almost non existent. Only three days ago she was 50/50 so she is moving fast. I can probably wait a day or two for my trichomes to start degrading but she is just about there. I'll have show a little more patience.... Maybe a day or two. lol.

You have to really keep an eye on these autos, The window of opportunity to harvest at the peak time comes and goes fast. I just scoped this bitch again and now there are some amber's popping up. I'd say 5/80/15 clear/cloudy/amber right now. That's quite a shift in only 24 hours. Definitely tossing her in the box for 24 hours or so and chopping her in a day, maybe two.

I can almost taste it......well mayb coz i did a pinch test on a leaf of my lil akr earlier hehe. She smells lovely, the fragrance of your big healthy girl though must be too much to endure! Im gonna be putting my ULH in the dark for 24 hours before harvest too. Congrats man

Nice. It looks like we're all, literally, harvesting within days of each other. Congrats yourself. I can't wait for some harvest photos. Mine will be up in a few days.
Afghan Kush Ryder Update: I tossed her into darkness yesterday and was going to check on her today but instead decided to leave her for another 24 hours. Tomorrow I chop her. I'm still undecided whether I'm going to trim her as normal or hang her as a full plant and trim after she is dry...
Flash Babylon Update: She shed her helmet so I x-planted her into a 2G Smart Pot and put an opaque cup over her. I'm doing that because I just want her in a humid environment for an extra day or two.

Well my AKR will prbs b harvested later this week, but im not gonna put any harvest photos up LOL gonna be a 2 grammer hehe The ULH wont be finished till about the start of november, and im hoping for an ounce each on those. Nice flash babylon man, lookin happy to be alive!

Some quick updates...
The AKR was chopped yesterday and hung up whole to dry... No wet weights... Dry weight to be posted soon...
Flash Babylon: Day 2: Just stretching a bit and doing her thing... Soon as this AKR grow is dried and weights are posted I'll start a new thread for this one... Yay journal spam.
Notes: Reused FFoF/Perlite Soil... No Nutes (obviously)... Vegging under 105w LED 20/4 (BS180)...

That little akr smells delectable, That's right delectable. ha! I popped off a little nugget and dried it on my cable box over night and smoked some earlier. That shit had me floored. I forgot it has been months since I've smoked an indica like this. I've been smoking that Liberty haze sativa shit for a while. I can't wait until it's properly dried and cured.
Oh, And I'm never smoking a pure sativa again. Neener, neener, neener!

Boy, Are my dry weights going to be sketchy when I finally post them. I have to admit that every single day I've been taking samples. This shit is just that good. By the time the "dry" is actually done I'll be lucky if there is anything left drying. lol.
Note: Flash Babylon is trekking along nicely... And because Daemon is such a good salesman I started germing an Auto Blue Mammoth yesterday... No taproot yet... meh...

haha ah maaaan i really want a joint of that AKR!! Yeah, well my AKR got heat stunted from like 4 days i put it under 500w cfl coz it was a brand new setup and i thought there would be no temp issues. Very rookie mistake, and i went down to 250w for the next 5 weeks or so. Im also not sure if its partly mutated. The third set of fan leaves are just 3 blades, not sure if thats normal. It goes 3 blades - 5 blades - 3 blades. And thats when she stopped growing up. No side shoots either. Think the heat did a good job of stressing the shit out of those genetics
As long as your just sampling the little ratty bottom nugs then its all good lol dont touch that main cola till at least 2-3 weeks good luck hehe

Nothing special to report here... Smoking more buds than I'm letting dry... Lol...
This is what was left after 4 days drying in the dark and after "sampling" almost all the lower branches...
Just one of the buds, quick dried, before being smoked...
Edit: Everything is dried I don't know why I didn't include weights... It looks like 23g dry is what I got from this AKR. It is less than I thought I would get but in retrospect I am not surprised considering I had PH problems the first few weeks. It seems any stress whatsoever those first few weeks and you pay for it dearly later on with autos...
Also, I'd just like to apologize a bit for the less than overwhelming harvest photos etc... I've been smoking sativas for the past few months and completely forgot how nice an indica high is... Because of that I was picking at the plant the entire time it was drying. Really smoking it before taking any photos... Heh.
