the logistics of growing corn...

hi all!
so im planning a gurella here in ohio at about 39 degrees north. ive found my 3 pretty good spots.

the first spot is going to be nooo problem. i can go there in the daylight and spend as much time as i need gardening.

the other two are on tree lines between cornfield and woods. really isolated, but for caution, will have to be night visit only.

anyway, being that ive never mass grown corn(or anything else), what should i look out for in the cornfield environment? i obviously need to wait until the farmer plants his crop so he doesn't see the dug/tilled holes for my babies. but should i look out for any other visits from mr. farmer?

also, when do they usually harvest corn? im sure its the hard feed stuff, but it seems like they let the plants die for awhile before harvesting.

too many questions for now. hahaha
thanks

dude i have planted alot in cornfields i always just plant in the cornfield wait for the corn to get high enough for me to walk into without being seen. And the farmer uses all the lime and fert's to get your plants goin

way i do it is just get deep in corn field counting rows as i go then i just pull up a corn plant and place one of my ladies in the hole.

some of my best looking plants have come from crnfields just don't plant i sweet corn though because they harvest it early
