The Impossible Grow

Let em grow if you can.. i thought this was an experiment, you said you wanted to test and idea right?

You can cut a piece of straw long ways, then cut it to length, then wrap it around the stem and gently push it into the soil. This will add some stability

Experiment yes... But I'd also like to grow some serious BUD... Will the stem get bigger with the straw around it?? we have thousands of straws so i can try it. Should I replace the long sticks with string with the straws too or does it matter either way?

id say lower the light and blow a fan on then for a couple hrs at a time a few times a day

does anyone use 24 hr lighting for veg cycle and why would plants start to flower under that typ of light any idea?

Ok dude this is my GROW JOURNAL not some place for you to ask questions. And if you want respect from the people here you'd read an entire post before posting something... The whole low light issue has already been talked about they've always been close to the plants and Someone not too long ago suggested adding a fan but that was several days ago...

Search before you ask questions about your own grow also. 24 hour veg has been talked about in many threads before and I just read one yesterday about why a plant would grow in veg state... Please post questions about your own grow on your OWN thread. I'm guessing if you'd have those types of questions the NEWBIE CENTRAL would be a great place for you to begin.

Not trying to be a dick just letting you know. Also there are "stickys" in each Forum room make sure you read those to see if your question can be answered in them. They helped me learn a few things that I didn't even know before and this is my 3rd grow. There's always room to learn new things people have their own ways of doing things that some may not know like I read once that if you add milk in the sprouting stage it will help them to grow stronger and faster. I haven't tried this but am willing to try it on one plant next grow.

bending plants over is called scrog, but I think you do it way later in the grow process and with healty plants. you can probably still get something from these if you luck out and they turn out to be ladies...but you need CFLs. so get to raking or wait for that job is my advice.

I'm just stickin with Incandescents since as Major Toke said IS an experiment so I can just see what it'd look like and how much work it'd take using incans... They thinkened up a bit and I have the straws around them. Leaves are looking real nice. I'll have to snap a few pics sometime soon.

you can take your floros out of the holder if ya want this will compact everything inside cause their usually put together just tomake eveything hang even just take it apart and make your own set upas for a powersource dyour attic it the main source out power for lights drill a hole in your closet celling add some extra wire to your floro run it up in the attic and add it to one of the light setups up their.worse case scenario if you dont know what your doing youll probably have to reset the breakers but after a couple tries youll have a nice built in light set up no wire more room.

Are people seriously ALWAYS this stupid or is it just a new fad goin on that I didn't know about??? Yet another dingleberry talking about shit that has absolutely NOOOO relevance what so ever. Dude READ THE POSTS BEFORE YOU POSTS.. Then you would realize that I am NOT USING FLOROS THIS IS AN INCANDESCENT BULB EXPERIMENT!!! I'm serious about to start shooting people!!!

Here's some pic updates... They got a little thicker than last time yet still thin. I'm thinking of cuttin them to 12/12 to see if they will fatten up a bit they are on a 18/6 right now. And all they are doing is stretching like a mother fucker. So maybe its best I put em on a 12/12 now. They've been growing around 2 and a half weeks I think. I'm sure it's safe to mark this experiment up as a failure and go back to some real growing soon. I'm sellin' my guitar on E-bay and theres a few people interested so maybe I'll be able to grab a quarter sack with some seeds and a couple nice CF's and see what I get out of it.

yeah, it looks like they are stretching a little too much. nice experiment tho!

if you plan on using incandescent bulbs your gunna need alot more then 2 even for seedlings. but id say get a floro as soon as you can one 4ft. floro would be all you need for those amount of plants for a couple of weeks and they arent to expensive at all.

I'm not using only two incans... As I've stated before... I must be a dumbass magnet? people ugh

Anyways... Well I'm goni in the process of deciding if I should try n save these with a couple CF's now or just throw em out... they are about a foot (the 3 largest ones) I'm not caring either way.

What would everyone else like to see happen?

could be instructive to future grows on how to save a grow when the person starts with incandescents.

i was just trying to give you some good andvice ive read this entire grow journal and i dont remember were it said you were using more then 2 i was pretty high when i read it. and how old are you anyways living with your mom? stealing games from your sister to get money? this site is for 18 and up only and if you are 18 get a job its that simple
