Yeah definitely...and that looks sweet and easy to make a cool tube reflector...lol. Stoners will figure anything out wont they...

So I dont assume Ill need any other nute stuff will I ???...can you suggest any other supplements or anything to add in case I need it, I already got some Epsom salt from previous grows...and was thinking about adding some more superthrive and CalMag if you think Ill need it...
but I never really have needed too much other shit before so I dont plan on getting it unless suggested...better to have it and not need it then wish I had some in the dead of winter come January....

I know you cant forsee what I will need in the future but if you were me would you stock up on those extras to be safe or just wing it and assume you wont need it?

Iowa+Winter= NO PLANTING SUPPLIES...lol.

So if there is any possibility Id need it I better get it now..

i've had a small bottle of superthrive that has lasted me for my whole couple year tenure as a grower and i'm sure will last me a lot longer... at 1 drop/gallon, it lasts a long time... i use it for vegging plants whenever i see it around and remember it... not too important...

depending on the water you use you might need a cal/mag suppliment... i use tap water and it seems to have enough minerals in it as is....

but no for a simple nuting regimen all you need is the 2 parts and you'll be good to go

Man thanks,.. Ill leave you alone now, I think you actually answered everything I was pondering...I know the repetitive questions have been answered a million times but I cant search in the feature....I emailed someone but no response. So I been googling topics and looking for threads here for like 4 days. LOL. But thanks you saved me a day just in looking for threads...

Now if I could just find a good thread talking about breeding F1s together>>>I need to research my plant genetics and get educated on it, im limited to Dog genetics and I think plants are very similar but much more strange and I cant find anything on the topic thats relevent to me breeding 2 F1s for seed...Damn search feature!

UPDATE- I found out the search dont work...lol. And I figured out breeding F1s is a lot of work to get what you want later from the F2s...but im still interested in links if anyone has any to read over....Plant genetics is way different than animals, well similar but way more alien...

this has probably been answered before, so sorry. there's a ton of pages in this thread though! i had some seeds crack and i put them in hempy buckets to sprout and i'm wondering if i should be giving them plain water until they sprout leaves or should i be feeding with nutes already?

hey, would I be able to fill a big tray with some perlite and grow like that instead of a bucket for each plant? and how deep would it need to be if I'm putting clones straight into flower?

Thanks so much for posting this method. So far I have read about half the thread and am working on the other half still. I am just starting my first grow and have 4 clones that I bought at a club running in some of the red plastic cups right now and then when it gets big enough going to put it into a 5 gallon bucket. I just have a couple of questions, how long should I wait before giving my little girls nutes? Thanks again.

I give clones half strength nutes once they are heavily rooted and work up from there.

How long do you find it takes them to get heavily rooted? I put the clones (rockwool and all) in the perlite about 2 days ago now. I am watering them every day until they hopefully have some roots hitting the reservoir. Also, for nutes I was just going to get FF Grow big and Tiger Bloom. Do I need any others or is that good? Thanks.

I use FF. Usually 14days and they are fully rooted. I clone in a bubbler though. But So far Hempy has been very reliable. I have a newby friend who is cloning in it effectively.

Alright, so I am having problems with a couple of my little clones. 2 of them have the tips of the leaves curling up and one of them looks really blotchy. I have been watering them once a day since Monday night. The temperature has been right around 80* with 50% humidity. They are in 100% perlite and they were planted with the 1in rockwoll. They are about 16inches away from the 400w hps. I am watering with tap water that I have let sit out for 24+ hours. Thanks

until those roots hit the rez... i'd say don't be afraid to lift the light a bit higher... or ur plants might dry out very quickly.

Would the plants drying out show the problems I have been describing? I pulled the light up so it is probably about 24 inches away now.

You said they were 'little clones'. They can be quite sensitive to heat for a while. The leaves lose moisture faster than the roots can take it up and there you go, crispy leaves. 24" should be fine.

I lowered them to 24" and have been watering them 2 times a day and they are recovering very well. I think one of them has gotten to the reservoir but don't think the rest have yet.

i'm going to be using some 1.5 gallon containers for my grow. should i still place the drainage holes at about 2" above the bottom or is that too high?

i think its just a matter of how often you want to water them.... also keep in mind that any space used for the reservoir is space that basically won't be used by the plants root system, only a couple of roots will reach down into the reservoir. 1 1/2 to 2" should be just fine.

thanks, i appreciate the info. i've got some plants in smaller containers that i only have to water every other day, i'd like to keep that schedule.
while i'm here, i just got some earth juice grow and i've read some different things about ph and earth juice. wondering if anyone on here uses ej with hb and any suggestions you'd make.
