M blaze may I ask how long you veg for? I have 10 gallon grow bags and Im doing some nirvana white widow. Ive staked them out as much as I can and would like every node to think its a top, but my bushes are nowhere near yours. How long do you veg and what is your trick? I admire your work brotha
Usually about 8 weeks from a 1 foot tall rooted clone. Im not sure exactly how long the plant in that pic vegged for but its more than 8 weeks. I'll have to look back and check. It was a neglected plant that had been shoved in the corner of a grow room until we found a new home for it. Heres what it looked like before and after the tying when it was put in its new home.

About 2-3 weeks later

M-blaze your the shit brotha and your grows are very impressive. I've grown for 3 years and have not been doin it right. Basically stick farming. I have 5 White Widows in my veg room that I staked out to try your method (LST) and they now have 10-15 tops. Im so axnious to see them bloom. Another question though is do you grow mostly from seed? My WW are from nirvana and they seem to have so much more powerful genetics than any other clone Ive ever grown from. Besides the time, what would you say the benefits are between seed and clone?

I usually grow from clones but ive never really found much of a difference in the final result between the two.

This is a plant that I tied down using loops of panty hose...
The cola on the right side is a lower branch which bulked up to almost the same size as the main cola(left side)

Way to grow jrk152! +rep Those look nice, and good job on the LST.bongsmilie:peace:
Thx man. First grow so I was a bit wary with topping and making cuts on my beautiful plants and all.. but I went nuts on the LST lol

Theyve stopped stretching as much now and the buds are starting to fill up instead so I don't need to be tying them down everyday like I have been for the past month and a half :blsmoke:

Are any of you familiar with a trucker's hitch? its a knot that you can tie and untie easily, and pull the string tighter at will. I anchor the string to the soil with a bit of clotheshanger, and then run the string over the branch in question, pulling it down. dont pull too much, i just come back in a couple of days and pull it a little more.
ive been looking for a link to a how-to on these knots but cant find a good one, at least, not one that shows the method i use. maybe when i get home later and find my camera i can write one up for everybody. but its really simple and easy to adjust so i recommend it to everyone

That's an interesting technique. Not sure if I like the clotheshanger. Not a metal one sticking into the soil anyway. That's a rust factory, so be mindful of that. Thats why I went with wood or bamboo skewers.
I like the knot idea though.

Whats up,
Just getting ready to post some pics of a
test grow under my new light (250w hps).
Saw this thread, so here ya go.
She was topped twice during veg. Actually supercropped too. Then LST'd
to grow like a scrog, without the screen.
Shes basically growing horizontal thanks to 2" rubber coated paperclips. My weapon of choice when it comes to lsting. I also use the papercoated wire garbagebag twist ties, depending on pot size.
I think this girls in a 3 gallon pot, so paperclips did the trick. Most have been removed (5 or so left) the buds are trained, and dont reach for the light much at all.
pics are 35 days fem. Will be 6wks 12/12 on sat. (9/24)
Peace
