I've been running shorter distances lately but I've also been increasing the intensity with each workout, I think there's a few things throwing off my numbers, like when I do stairs or the bleachers at the track, the app still registers that as walking/running, and doesn't take into account the incline or speed, which would decrease the amount of calories burned being registered. Oh well, good to know today's the last day of 5 weeks though, here's to another 5!

Since I've started, I've run over 100 miles (98% baked like a cake!)

I'm going to pick up a new pair of running shoes pretty soon and when doing the research I came across this video (which led to more research), pretty good argument for running barefoot, I think I'm going to try this today actually, see how it is

How long did it take you to get used to them? I've worn those socks with individual toe pockets once and fuckin' haaaated em! Weirdest feeling ever! Another video I saw a guy said he could only wear them for a few hours a day because his body wasn't used to the new stride.

took me about a week to get used to them. it felt weird at first. you do need to work your way up in that shoe. if you go the full gusto the first day with those shoes, your legs and feet will hurt like a mofo! but after you get used to them, you start to actually walk a little different. your stride changes a little and you start to use your outer toes A LOT more. like I'm grabbing the ground with my feet. they do look weird as fuck but you get kinda addicted to using them cause it's like a second skin on your foot.

ima have to get a pair of those i think i would enjoy runnin more.
you should man. once you get used to a pair of those, you don't wanna take em off. they are really good for working out. I first seen those shoes when I went hiking with an ex and thought they looked silly on her, lol. then I started seeing everyone at the gym where I work out start wearing them. read up about it, then decided to purchase one. so glad I did. my feet and toes feels like a pair of hands now. shit you not but even my surfing has improved cause I have so much control over my toes now.

Yeah dude, I ran today barefoot and it felt much more natural, I also ran a lot farther than normal and didn't experience any joint pain. How much does a pair of those cost Doc?

pricey. about $80-$100 bucks +/- depending on the style. and well worth the investment in my opinion.
