hi all,

With this thread i want to create a place to show the results of the GAVITA 750 de fixture.

I've buyed one 2 weeks ago (upgrade from a normal 600 SE) and i'm doing my first grow with that.

If some 750 users can share pics/reports/impressions of their experiences (mainly flowering pics :) ) will be a great thing for all the growers who are thinking about buying one.

Im on the fence about getting one of these. From what i read they dont put off excessive heat and also rf interference is non existent ?? Both verry important factors in my case.. The only other thing is that they may need to be higher than other lights ?

@python_thrust ,
I apologize that i am posting since I dont have experience with these, but I belive this thread will lead me in the right direction. Ty

No problem, i think that we are all here to know more about this light.

I can say that they put a lot less heat compared to a standard 600w HPS.

For the distance on the manual they suggest 75cm when running @750w.. to me seems a little far away...

I am in the process of swapping all my current lighting to a combo of 1000w gravitas and 315w lec's. I am currently under 8' ceilings but I will be going to at least 10' in my new location. So far i have 5 and im waiting for 3 more.... So apparently Gavita has released new reflectors that change the footprint and distribution of light which in return give you the ability on running the lamp closer to the canopy for something like $60.
I don't have a new reflector and I haven't seen one, I'm going strictly on hearsay from a rep and the online help guy at gavita.
I did email gavita on my issue because I didn't want to buy 750's to use for a couple months then buy 1000's after so they took down my info like room size and canopy height then set me up with a light setup/plan that would work in my situation.
Long story short, I'm good until my canopy hits 90cm/3' then I let my el2 controller do the work. Awesome unit, dims the lights according to canopy temps and follows its program that you setup. Love the internal timer and sunset/rise to plus the aux output that I'll use to power up the contactors for my lec's and co2.
Can't wait until they ad more devices for the el2, apparently there's a co2 sensor in the works.
