The flush "myth"

Some people believe that its cheaper to leave a house room light on rather than switching it off and on again when you re-enter the room.
There is no reason for them to believe this but yet they do. There is nothing behind it at all. Its a Myth.

Point taken. Wear and tear on the switch and life of the bulb shortened are so small, again, point taken.

I said it that way because my electricity and hot water are included in my rent, which has not changed in several years, but I do have to buy a new bulb.

Kinda older thread but I wanted to give my 2c for people that look it up for the debate.

I flushed because that's what I read to do and people that tried my stuff would almost always ask about "how long did you flush brah?"

One grow I decided to stop flushing until I felt like the whole grow was over, then flush for 2-4 days. I was running into this issue where when I started flushing with in just a few days the buds almost stopped changing. For 2 weeks my buds looked only slightly more finished. When I started feeding until the end I saw a MASSIVE difference in my bud development, in every way. Now I flush for 2 days after it's all finished. No one seems to be able to tell a difference and I could tell them I grow in tea's, no till soil, 27816921% organic under a crystal that blasts the plants with pure clean stored sunlight from Sweden and I doubt they would question it.

It's your garden, grow how you like. I like super healthy food and the name of the farm, cow, and what strain of grass it was fed written on the menu... But I also like candy that feels like plastic and smells like unicorn farts. If a 25% thc strain of your preference is no good because you hurd it was not flushed or grown in worm poop I wonder if you can even live up to a 100th of that in the rest of your daily life. I also wonder if someone told you it was grown with a daylight blasting crystal if you would even notice a difference.

It's all in the dry and CURE!

People that say they can find a difference. Are only being fooled by their own mind. It's called "Confirmation Bias". When the brain is given a task. Like asking "Is there a difference?".
It will find one. Even if one does not exist!

Example: 3 people are set down in separate booth's. They are given 3 plates of food. All are "Taco's". They are asked to taste them and write down what they think of each. Notice they are not asked to find a difference!"
They all find a specific difference between each. They each have a favorite.

In reality, each "Taco" is the exact same brand, made with the same batch of product and came from the same pan of meat, the same onion, tomato and lettuce.....CONFIRMATION BIAS...

NO amount of drying and curing will make an overfed/nutrient burnt, over ripe, under ripe, under lit, etc bud taste good. maybe taste better, but nowhere near as good as it could have been with a proper feeding and the same dry/cure for example

must be more to it than drying properly?
not arguing, but c'mon, you know there is more to it right?

You simply couldn't be more wrong, but we all know you'll never admit it

it is ALL in the dry/cure which is the single most important thing for a grower to learn

I use dry salts for nutes, I feed till the end and I never flush and I can invite several members that have smoked my herb to comment on how smooth and tasty it is

or you could come smoke some for yourself ?

The flush myth is not about nute sales, it's about cash cropping, getting the product out as quickly as possible, folks growing for themselves have no reason to indulge in the nonsense

so you say- a shitty grown, overfed, over watered plant, underlit plant - but dried and cured in your way would be better
than say a well grown, properly fertilized, perfectly watered and well lit one dried and cured your same way?

well thats just silly nonsense. I sure hope you misread something in the thread.

I dont flush either, did you even know that?

I don't flush either but the one time I did was to try and save a harvest that had a supplement added and it tasted like the supplement. After tasting the first portion of the harvest (yuk) I decided to run straight water through the res for 7-10 days and the final product was supplement taste free. Honestly both products were not cured so it may have went away but I doubt it lol. I do get the science behind the no flush argument. Just saying ;).

Flush is about quality, not sales, I don't sell anything cannabis related, do you?

Cure me up some top shelf after a run under 120f, not going to happen.

Funny that you use a fictitious experiment to prove your point! Not that I disagree, and confirmation bias really is a thing (now more than ever, perhaps?), i'm just enjoying this pinch of irony used here.
