The first harvest from Tweed Farms has arrived

you should stop fighting against the MMPR and start fighting for insurance coverage for marijuana meds.
I have a job. I get benefits. They cover every other medication.
Didn't realize this was all about you.
I just finished reading this thread and I cannot actually believe these two posts. both of you make valid and compelling arguments but right here you lost me and it became quite clear that you don't really care about the medicine or access to the medicine. if you truly cared, this drivel would not have been posted. you sound pretty ignorant, arrogant and obviously have no consideration for those living with conditions that are beyond your comprehension.

I mean this respectfully, but shame on you...

it's great that you have a fantastic job with benefits. I know many people who were using cc and other local producers and getting free medication. free. they don't have benefits and their current medical condition prevents them from securing employment that would provide benefits...

you really sound like your wearing a big business corporate hat...

I am not trying to have a pissing match, what I said, I meant it respectfully. you are probably a good person, but your messages seem to be based on your situation only and do not encapsulate the needs of the country. you just seem to have missed the point about providing this medicine to everyone who wants/needs it...

And he won't help granny use FaceTime. Lil Timmy hates her phone calls.

If you read a few posts later I point out that you can fight for ODB coverage or whatever covers other medication for these patients. I'm not sitting here saying you have to have company benefits - it can be covered by whatever covers the rest of the drugs these people take.

My point was not that, but clearly the emphasis got shifted when I sounded like an asshole.
My point was that I don't think people are picking the right fight, but that was personal opinion and I clearly said it was useless, but you left that part out of the quote.

Didn't you get a small script because you can't afford to fill a bigger one using a lp? Wouldn't having a cheap source of meds that allowed you to use whatever amount you need daily be far superior to smoking a few joints and needing to take other cheaper drugs to achieve the same effect?
yes, but the meds are good. id be paying 15/g for that quality if i went bm here

The stuff you posted looks like typical $200oz or less bud from cc's in my experience. And that requires no bm connections. Where in ns are you?
I will agree with this. While it is working for you and I don't think it's the end of the world if you can afford the convenience and scheduling hassles, I've seen better for less.

I understand and fully recognize why you were reluctant to provide your personal opinion. I guess I disagree about what the 'fight' should be about. I think that everyone should have access to this medicine, and that is what the fight should be about. if my friends want to grow it and provide their own medication for a small group, share the overhead, then why not? why are we forced into the Walmart big business model?

clearly there are two philosophical approaches here, one is about compassion/access and the other is about money/control, and I don't buy the argument about providing a safe product. it has been safe for decades...

the approach that one subscribes to should determine where one stands in this fight. I like you, have a great job with tremendous benefits but we should be fighting for those who are not as fortunate as us, and in my experience, those with less greatly outnumber us..

anywho, I m done, I don't want to have a fight with anyone. I respect much of what both of you have stated. have a great night!

I don't disagree with any of that ^
I believe in compassion and access too - in the ideal world we would have LPs, CCs, DGs and home gardens. I agree 100%, but I don't know that it's a possibility anymore.

Yeah scheduling sucks. Express post 2 day service or ups overnight.

There wouldn't be lp's if cc's, dg's and home grows were legal. No one chooses to take the path of most resistance in business.

Look at every other industry. Wine, food, etc.
There's always room for corporate.
Cost of entry for lp's now is so high they couldn't compeat. If a Big Mac cost $20 from McDonald's and a home made burger cost $1 You probably wouldn't eat at McDonald's. You eat at McDonald's because it's cheap and easy.

Stop. Rewind. Think again.
If CCs and DGs and home grows are all legal, LP regulations would be a bit different.
Tweed wants legalization more than anyone.

even if the regulations weren't different I could easily see all of these succeeding. Their is a different need and different market for all lp's, cc's, dg's and home grows. Many, many different situations that could benefit from all of these.

The nature of what it is makes the wine comparison easy: you can make your own wine "tax free", but the LCBO still sells 1000 gallons a day.

That's a mighty big assumption. Because they would need to meet medical grade conditions the cost of setting up lp's will be far higher then any home grow or wherehouses full for cc's would ever cost. The pot smoking public is far more savy on the whole then you're giving them credit for. Lcbo sells so much because they have monopoly by the way.

I'm so sick of this argument. If the DGs can grow whatever the fuck they want, so can LPs. If the MMPR folds the LPs will just mass produce pot for whatever legal system occurs.

Keep hating.

I'm not arguing anything. What makes you think hc would let lp's grow anything other then medical grade shwag? They aren't designed to be run like home grows/illigal grows. You're suggesting that they would simply be able to do as they like when our rights are upheld. This is based in your mind only.

Over an hour away from a compassion Club.. Lol.. I've checked them out. I know lots of people who sell pot. A lot of them sell good pot..
But the prices aren't much better. If at all. I'm not a noob lol. I at least have a better selection this way and have the benefit of being legal.

I could grab an ounce of hydro that's pounded full of synthetics for 160 a bag... A bag of shwag for -120-140.. Maybe a bag of PK for 180-200 or AAAA/exotics us scotians say for 220-280 a bag. If I wanted top notch for less than a bag10-15/g straight up.
This is why my Lp works for me. Pricing isn't much different plus a benefit of being legal. I don't care what haters say.. The meds are good and they work for me.

Bttw..... There is no licence in Canada that allows a storefront operation to sell mmj... Which makes cc's illegal.. They get shut down, raided and people get arrested. Jailed? Maybe not.. But still against the law. I'm not hating.. I may use one if it were closer to home but it makes no difference and I'd rather get my meds legally.
