The end of Likes?

Okay, I understand that the site got hacked so we lost a lot of self-expression, wit and such. But why can't we 'like' posts anymore? I want to show my appreciation for great posts, I feel like replying with a post that just says 'like' but that just seems stupid. Mods? Anyone? I want to like this site again...

yeah we should have a thumbs up or down system similar to youtube, but ours would be a joint lit or a joint unlit! ya know so youtube dont sue or whatever,whos with me?!

March 15th. My understanding is it happened to a few sites, supposedly anti-drug activists. That's why they had to restore the posts from a back up, didn't you notice the gap of activity from 2/20 to 3/16? If it was anti-drug, they sure showed us. I've already trashed my grow op and tossed everything. J/K...

yea I too miss the like button, usually if someone said something i completely agreed with or just something that made me laugh i would just push a button to let them know. now i have to quote it and explain hey man i liked that because....

its gettin tough in my fingers.

i thought i hit all the "give us back our likes" threads.

i want it back, too. maybe i don't want to willy nilly hand out rep for funny jokes when there's people giving legit grow advice that i'd rather give it to. likes are a way for me to express my approval without going to the extent of rep. and i can like as many posts as i want. the "you have given out too much rep" message is pretty annoying.

My assumption would be that they had to revert to a more secure version of the forum software, which does not include a "like" function.
