Barney Frank and Ron Paul introduced a bill to legalize marijuana AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL. if this passes, Americans will no longer be needing overseas seedbanks, down go the prices.

Duzz kill. LOL!!

The fact that a legalize weed bill gets introduced every year is actually an indication of just how far we're coming along. This kind of thing didn't happen back in the Just Say No 80's and the This Is Your Brain... 90's. I look at it this way. Every time it goes before the courts, it invaraiably gets press coverage. That press coverage, no matter how biased, will stimulate a few more people to look into it on their own. Those people will then conclude that despite what they have been told, marijuana is not going to jump clean out of your bong, strangle you, rape your women, rip the ears off your puppy dog, and then pawn your grandmother's silverware. Instead, it could generate jobs, tax revenue, and take a much needed load off our overburdened criminal justice system.

So even if it doesn't pass, it will generate a few more converts that push the tipping point all that much closer next time.
I should know. I was one of them.

why is it not a cool post?? because i'm a realist?? come on now, do you ever honestly think that the federal gubmert is ever going to let weed become legal and take away billions and billions of dollars that other wise go into the big pharm. companies?? or even alcohol companies whose profits i'm sure would be cut into by the legalization of bud.. look into some things, who do you really think are the biggest people trying to keep our favorite plant illegal, and why are they doing so?? that's right, it's all about big money boys and girls.. do you have any clue what the us gvt. makes by keeping mj illegal ?? neither do i, lol, but think about all of the people who are in prison over it, court costs, lawyers fees, not to mention what companies like geo make off of us criminals.. look up the geo corp, you'll love what you read about them..
i'm not trying to be a dick, far from it... of course i'd love to see weed legal and be able to sit on my front porch and smoke a doob or two as the popo rolled down the street and i could wave right at them, but i don't see it happening anytime soon is all.. is that being not cool?? maybe so..
and as much as i love cars and racing obviously, and would love to see the government allow someone to look into a better fuel for our cars other than gasoline or god forbid, electricity, an even older form of power than the combustion engine, but that isn't going to happen anytime soon for the same reasons why mj won't become legal anytime soon... there's just wayy too much money to be made off of gas, and at the same time keeping mj illegal.. can you imagine the amount of people out of work if they got rid of gas stations over the entire globe, not to mention the exec's who make trillions of dollars a year on it...
imho, there is just wayyyyy too much money to be made by our lovely government by keeping weed illegal.. again, not trying to be not cool at all, just trying to be a realist.. for gods sake, amsterdam and the dutch are now looking to outlaw bud to foreigners in their country... it's not easy going against the us's wishes...
